I have a bunch of German Stahlwille screwdrivers that are really nice, and I think they have a cool logo...

So who know's anything about this beast. Was told it was from England...no way to confirm. No names, patents, numbers, etc...

5 feet 8 inches long.

12 inches wide.

3 inches tall

4 hardy holes that are different sizes from each other. Smallest just under 1 1/2 inches, largest around 2 inches.

Weight = heavy...I'm guessing more than 250 lbs.

It looks similar to a Pexto plate, for excepting Pexto stakes, however a lot larger. Great for blacksmithing, or panel shaping.

Heres mine, nothing fancy just 1/4" plate top for a welding table. I find its a bit too high at 41" so I think I'll drop it down some and ad angle iron under the top because it sags a bit in the middle.

So I bought a Harbor Freight workbench off offer-up for $40....

I'm planning on making two more drawers for the bottom. What Logo's should I use?

Cornwell
Craftsman
Proto
Knipex
Blackhawk
Williams
Blue Point

?????

The Obvious Logo choice...

How about your own logo, or a combination of all of the above, since it’s a frankenbench.

Dirty already, but 4'x6' assembly table is completed. Doubles as tablesaw outfeed table. Have an air compressor in the closest cabinet powered by the switch. French cleats on the closest end for hanging stuff. Drawers and doors on opposite side identical to the shown side.

1FoxRacing, is the base cabinet for your second bench from a bank? I have a few benches built up from LeFebure teller
cabinets which are similar. Brutally heavy but rock solid. I have them capped with hardwood butcher blocks. I found the cabinets in a building salvage place and they were from a bank that got absorbed. The cabinets would work best for somebody who is taller.

Yes, it's branded Diebold. A friend of mine use to do maintenance for a local bank company and use to bring these types of cabinets home all the time. He gave me this one about 20 years ago and it's easily survived 3 house moves over the years.
I'm 6'2" so it's the perfect working height for me. Wish I could get keys for the 2 top drawers so I could actually lock it up.

A genuine lock shop should be able to make you keys if you can see any key codes on the exterior of the lock. Otherwise a locksmith can drill it out and replace the whole lock.

A time ago I saw a picture of a workbench/drawer cabinet combined with a electric pallet truck. This to be able to move it arround to have a mobile workbench for maintenance jobs.
I Am not able to find that picture again.
Does anyone have something like it or some more information about it?

I needed a lightweight benchtop in a relatively clean area of my garage shop so I put this together. It is a Kobalt toolbox surrounded by Gladiator cabinets. I made a benchtop and added the riser for the cabinet. One more riser to go but the bench is operational now.

It's a 1993 900 Supersport. 944 kit, ferracci pipes. It decided to eat it's oil gallery plug, hence the teardown.
I see you have a kz650...I've got a 1979 KZ650SR.
Also a '99 BMW R1100RS
Charlie

Nice. My KZ650 will be getting some love soon so it's roadworthy again. Then it will be torn completely down for a major resto-mod rebuild.

I am guessing this came from a bank? Most Diebold codes were not published but I can look.
Could this have something to do with...Last year they closed and gutted a bank up the road. They threw all the safety deposit box in a big roll off dumpster and all I could think was, I'm sure someone would've bought and used them. Are they not allowed to go to the public or something?

The owner probably decided that the "juice was not worth the squeeze". Saving stuff like that takes time and time is money.

I decided I needed a roll around workbench, picked up a used commercial cart from a defunct plant, four inch zerk fitted wheels, plywood from a garage sale that was free if I took the formica top with it( it was pink) it went to the trash dumpster, so with a few carriage bolts, some glue, and a day and a half this is what I have, I keep the circular saw, chop saw, belt sander, pad sander, numerous clamps inside. Height was set to coinside with the table saw for larger materials. Now I can roll it outside from the shop into the carport...less mess inside..

Where’d you guys get the vinyl for the refrigerators to look like a tool box?

My fridge was originally designed to masquerade as a toolbox including the top 2 drawers being actual tool drawers. It is a whynter brand that home depot sells here is a link

Of course, the price for it new is outrageous but I got lucky and found one that must have been damaged at the store and was being sold at a warehouse reclamation store, and even then, it was more than I wanted to spend.

The fridge still worked so I took off the skins and bent and pounded them back into shape. I then repainted to my appropriate preferred green color. I also removed the wheels and built appropriate boxes to mount it so that it would fit under the bench at the right height.

I built this one in my dad's garage, almost all the materials were re-claimed.
