I had already bought them and then double checked online. I needed it today. I just couldn't believe there would be a $50 difference. I saved $10 anyway. I'm not one to generally go back to the original store to ask for a price match. I'll just buy it where I find it for less. If I hadn't already used it I might consider it. Too much hassle to mess with. Spring is coming. I will use the gift cards eventually.

Lowes won't just match the price, they will beat it by another 10% plus if you pay with your lowes credit card, you will get an additional 5%

And to correct, no they will not give you 5% on top of the 10% for competitor. The small print on the 5% off when you use your card says not to be combined with any other offer including coupons and 10% military discount.

Impact. 226943
Air hammer. 226951
Air ratchet. 182464
Knife. 36362
Grills 131699

The model numbers on the vice grips

Also when a tool gets stolen and it has a bag inside the box, I get the bag for a buck a piece.
Brand is usually Dewalt cause those get stolen the most, jus so happens this one is Rockwell. I am picking up 2-3 dewalt bags tomorrow

My toaster meets ansi standards. Just kidding, even the chinese kobalt pliers are okay, I've got the groove joint probably will pick up this set for the cutters and needle nose. I hate that "ansi" tag, it doesn't really mean anything for consumers because all of them meet ansi standards even the wrench sets at big lots. That don't mean you should buy them (though I don't know if they're bad, they don't look so hot though).

I just posted the description. At $1.20 per plier, I'm gonna throw them in the "borrow box".

It would be most helpful for folks posting store-specific deals to include the zip code of the store, so that we can possibly get our local stores to price match.

Got a question for the Lowes treasure hunters: Does YOUR Lowes local website ever list a full price but then you go in the store, find it, and it rings up to a super low price after all? OR does your Lowes local website list a low price, then you go to the store, find it, and it rings up a much higher full price? I've found at mine, the latter happens sometimes, where they won't honor the website price (though i could buy it online for store pickup and get that price then), but not the former. And sometimes the website price is marked the same in the store, but that is pretty rare. I'm trying to figure out if it is worth bothering finding an item someone is getting a deal on at a Lowes somewhere and checking in store on it or if it is not worth bothering if the local store website does not list it as a lower price in the first place. Thoughts and experiences? thx- Paul

Unfortunately, all of those situations can apply and I am not sure much can be done about it. For the most part, if I see a price online and head to Lowe's and it is still priced higher, it will ring up at either the online price or pretty close to it. An example would be the 5 piece pliers set (#253677). It was listed at 5.19 on the web site, marked at 11.98 on its display case in the store, and then rang up for 5.60. The utility knives (240888 and 240077) were marked at their original prices from 9 to 13 bucks in the store but rang up for their online prices of $1.70 and $2.20.

I would think a good rule of thumb would be to go with the online price. If you get to the store and it ends up being cheaper, then great but you won't be disappointed.

Took about half an hour to find a set but I found one of the 5 piece plier sets and it rang up $5. The gray and blue grip set was hid behind the black and blue grip set which was $20. They look decent. For $1 a piece you cant beat it for DIY work.

They look and feel very similar to the Mastercraft set Menards sells for $17. Possibly same plier made in China with different branding.

They had some case mini blackhorns for 7 bucks.
Price on the sae extreme access wrench sets is down to $10.50 (price on the metric went up to 15!).

Bunch of other clamshell tool stuff being clearanced out.

Seems they actually got some new stuff in like mexican drilling hammers. Haven't seen those before (I don't remember them actually having drilling hammers at all in the past). 3 lb and a 5 lb (a weight which I've never seen at retail anywhere in a drilling hammer) but two piece fiberglass. :dunno:

I picked up a set of the metric socket trays that were a good deal at $5, marked down to $1. Last one in my store zip 49006.

I don't need them, but for a buck I'm sure I'll find some use! The only problem is, now I need the matching SAE set!

Motorcycle jack
# 11304
Was $119.00. Now $33.32 an 50% off that
$16.66

11304 comes up as roofing staples. Are you sure that is the item number? I can't even find mention of a motorcycle jack on their web site...

No longer see the motorcycle jack on the website search, the link above works though.
Found one for $33 locally, ordered for store pickup along with some PB Blaster for $2.57...we'll see if they cancel. I couldn't find the bonus size cans of PB last time I was in there maybe they'll have better luck.

They didn't cancel my order! Got the jack and 6 cans of PB blaster.

Found a scroll saw on clearance, Porter Cable normally $199 but it was only marked down to $120. SKU 93926
Shows as out of stock on the website.
