The 1" copper was still normal price at my Lowes. I was hoping to find it on clearance and re-plumb the air in my shop

My Lowes had them, but they were $33.00 something each.
Item number was the same, Model number I think was different.
Think it was the same though according to model number.
Description was the same.
Don't know if it would pay to keep an eye on them or not?

That's about the price the Lowe's store had them marked, otherwise, they would have zero on the shelf.

Ideal data/coax tools marked down an additional 40% in the Savannah area. They hovered at 30% off for the past few months. Paid $74 (w/tax after military discount) for the following:

45-131 Stripper

35-046 Coax Connector Tool

33-622 Compression F-Connector Installation Kit (lowes.com shows a kit with older and seemingly inferior compression and stripping tools)

62-140 Tracetone Wire Tracer

30-503 Crimpmaster Ratchet Crimper (additional dies can be found online for a fraction of what Ideal charges)

33-856 VDV Multimedia Cable Tester

35-185 110 Style Punch Down Tool

30-603 OmniSeal Pro Compression Tool

Most made in US or Taiwan. Testers made in China like almost every other electronic device nowadays. I stayed away from most of the data tools for now. With wireless internet and cell phones being so widely available I figure that the cable tools will see more use.

Same in the Dallas area. Picked up a few items to reroute some stuff in the future.

All the Ideal brand data tools have been replaced with Southwire brand around me. The remaining Ideal stuff is around 50% off.

what's odd is that the roll of copper pipe is $249 at one local store, and $65 at another 10 miles away... It say normal price is $149 though...

Wonder what the scrap value is on 3/4"x60ft copper pipe? Or could it be used to run airlines in my shop?

Like I said before if its cheap buy it and resell for a bit over scrap price. You make a bit of $ and some one can plumb their house of air lines in the garage whatever, everyone wins

I would love to find someone with a bunch of 1/2" or similar copper pipe to plumb my garage with. At the prices for copper, that just isn't feasible. Black iron pipe requires threading and that can be its own headache.

3/4" type L is .455 lb/ft so 60 ft is 27.3lbs. #1 Copper is currently about $2.70/lb, so that would be about $73.31 scrap price.

If it's type L, then yes it can be used to run compressed air.

Type M is thinner wall, but should still be sufficient for compressed air especially if smaller bore. The bigger you go the lower it's pressure rating is. Personally if I was plumbing it, anything 3/4" or bigger would be L, smaller would be plenty fine for M, or anything regulated would be fine M.

This is not a clearance deal but it's Lowes related. Got an email from Lowes regarding appliance discount so I click to see what's up, we need a new dishwasher. Ended up getting a Whirlpool stainless steel DW for $280 out the door. List for $299, added a 10% off coupon and after tax it's $279. We stopped by the store to check out the actual item - same price listed in store - and bought it online. Saw some good prices on range also. If anyone is looking for appliances may want to check out Lowes.

True, it seems that Lowes is replacing most electrical/data tools with Chinese Southwire branded ones. I picked up a few coax/data strippers and two more Crimpmasters in Americus, GA yesterday--the former were just over $2 and the latter $5.60 each (around 80%+ off). They still have a few Ideal tools scattered around: some of it is on a clearance display in the tool section, some displayed near an endcap in electrical, and some intermingled with the Southwire data tools.

I checked out the Millerville store in Baton Rouge over the weekend as well--their prices are still hovering around 50-60% off. Stopped at a random store in Alabama and found absolutely no deals on anything! Their "clearance" prices were maybe 10% off...

Which Dallas locations? I haven't found anything near me in Mckinney.

One off of Coit, north of 635 headed to West Plano. I pulled in there to let traffic die down and saw a few of the Ideal items on sale. Never saw any clearance copper tubing. Many of the areas have been moved around for all the Black Friday displays.

Watching the levels locally as well. I want to get some of the larger ones but waiting on the price to drop more.

Bostitch levels were marked down to 50% today at my local store. I picked up a 58" for $29.99 and a 29" for $11.10. Website shows it as a sale price through 12/10
