Locally, I'm seeing $85 at one store, $94 at another, and $112 at most of the others. Strange that there is so much variation in the prices. If it drops below $20 I'm in for a truckload.

ETA: Its $112 around me

The bostich levels are 50% here. I picked up a 58" and a 78" because I couldn't decide. Ha!
The Bosch laser levels are not on sale and not much of a selection of they were.
I have bought random boxes of pneumatic nails and staples highly discounted but without any particular pattern of why.

picked up 320ft of copper tonight, 100 of 5/8 and 220 of 1/2.

should get about $150 in my pocket after scrap.

Isn't there someone on Craigslist who'll pay more than scrap price for that? I understand a quick profit, but I'm also a fan of maximum profit...

Shows 24 and change at my stores none in stock.

-Jordan

my zip is 06484, I bought out the last stock nearby.

anyone just find an item and search about 4 different stores like I do?

I found a whole bunch of crazy deals that way. All my local stores but one had the impacts for $24.

EASILY, which is why I'm in the same boat as you. Any contractor that uses/needs the stuff will gladly buy at a discount.

You should sell it to someone for scrap price plus a little bit. At least it will go to good use. I wish you were closer

Like I said before if its cheap buy it and resell for a bit over scrap price. You make a bit of $ and some one can plumb their house of air lines in the garage whatever, everyone wins

I've been saying the same thing

Yes, you have!

ha to CL Ive had some large copper wire for sale there dont really want to sell as scrap and all I get is the scrappers that want to pay half of scrap value and think they are doing me a favor. So Ill keep it in the conex for a while. I for one dont like scrapping brand new stuff, its a waste of the energy and time it took to make it. That is something we will never get back.

My Lowe's had Bostitch 0.0005" levels for 50% off. Picked up a 72" and a 21" [or so]. The 72" was $80, now $40. The smaller was $35 and now $17.

If that 72" model is really +/-0.0005", I'm impressed!

Thanks! I got the 78" for 1/2 off. Of course I had to get the 3" PVC pipe, an end cap, and a clean out plug for storing it. So the total was more like $70. I'm debating going back and getting a shorter one later this week.

I had to get the shorter one not only to match, but why not? :willy_nil

The PVC to store it is a good idea, cardboard shipping tube may be cheaper? It'd have to be a long rascal though..

I've never understood the storage containers for levels. Is that because you guys have them on your truck where they can get damaged?

Honestly, this is the first time I've built a case for a level. I have a Tundra with a Crewmax cab so I only have a 5.5 foot bed. A 78" level seemed like it would be easy to damage, especially when it needs to go diagonally across a truck bed.

My thought process was that if I hauled it over to a friends house for a project I would would have other, not very forgiving, stuff in my truck bed too. I would rather pay 1/2 price once than pay full price for a new one after I damaged it and realized I couldn't live without a level that big.

I have that set for my basement. I picked it up earlier this year (or last year) for the same price. Quality set (nicer than my USA Craftsman), although it would be nice if they had more box wrenches as the size range is limited.

I bought one last year to take to KOH. I supplemented the wrenches with the tool rolls they gave out dirt cheap at fathers day. Pretty sure I have all the common automotive bases covered now for metric and SAE, and I'm only in to the set like $150. I really love the empty drawer and cavity in top. I can carry a mini sledge, pump pliers, needle noses, mag. tray, TRE seperator, and a ball joint seperator and still have room to spare.

Are most of the sockets 12pt? Specs say 6&12pt.

Thanks
