FYI Detroit metro area. The lowes on 12mile off I-75 has the knipex combo pliers in stock. They had 3 left.

+1, keep an eye out online. A few of my local stores got in a few more this week, grabbed 5 with an online order. In store they didn't even have a hook left for them.

I noticed my local Lowes had Arrow brand staples on clearance. They had packs of them for around $0.12. I never use staples so I passed.

Last night I got the 140264 electricians pliers for $5.10 and the 8" needle nose 118415 for $3.90. Last one of each, and they had a cart in the aisle with signs saying they were doing a reset of the section. They were +$20 each over the weekend.

They have their Kobalt 32 piece Double Drive screwdriver set on sale 60% off for $10 through 10/30/13. Normally $25.

Not sure how well reviewed they are or what people think of them, but I thought I would pass it on.

Lowes has the second most predictable ad after Harbor Freight, since HF is regular sale prices anyway.

Ladder, maglite, Dyson, yadda yadda yadda.

It's so boring it starts the Monday before Thanksgiving!

Wonder if there will be some juicy BF-specific deals? I am pretty sure the ladders/etc. started usually Thanksgsiving night or BF proper, this year obviously is quite late in the month.

Seems like Lowe's finally took Knipex out of their search. They only show three items when you type the word but nothing comes up when you actually hit search.

Well guys, they put them back up again. Let's see if there are anymore deals left for us out there.

I noticed this tonight, too.
Wasn't like that this morning, as I had stopped at my local store then and they had 5 pairs of alligator pliers. They were just under $20 so I've been stopping in whenever I could to see if they came down. They were still resetting the section this morning, and the pliers were on their cart for the reset. Tonight, the reset is done but I couldn't find the pliers :dunno: looked in every clearance section I know about.

Found these today at my Lowes area code 30165. YMMV

Same. Vegas area.

Also have a couple of kobalt nut drivers on clearance 1/4" and 5/16" (I believe, don't quote me) for around 2.50. Real decent but chinese.

Picked up a kobalt pocket pry bar for 2 bucks and one of those kobalt wallet sized tool doodads for .98 cents but those are regular price seasonal. Real nice quality on these two. Also had a kobalt titanium coated keychain driver for 2 bucks...reeeeeeeeeeal nice looking with a grip on it as well. I'm going nuts thinking about it.:willy_nil

Most of the time when something gets real cheap the person changing labels buys all of the stuff. You have got to watch them.

No idea if any of it is any good, but all the Task Force & Kobalt branded masonry hand tools, mud trays, etc as well as most tools for drywall are labeled clearance in both the stores I usually go to. One of them had a few items tagged but now it's nearly all of them at both stores.

Saw that last week. Picked up a bunch of drywall taping tools for like $1-2 each. Went back this weekend and the shelf where they were has been retrofitted and prices are back to normal.

Picked up the Knipex 8" pliers today in N. Phoenix. $3.52

I ordered online to have 3 of them picked up last night. Upon receiving a pick up confirmation, I went there but the sales associate from the customer service told me it wasn't in stock in the first place. So I basically just went there for nothing.
YMMV, I saw a blue hawk combo rotating tool/dremel-like (forgot the item number) on clearance for $40 from$99 original price if someone is interested. I Dont even know if that price is worth that price or the sale is good enough.

I saw those there. I don't currently have a need for something like that so I passed on it. It looks like it would be good for hobbies though.

Our Lowes has loaded the entry aisles with black friday type display sales. I bought this set of Kobalt Slip Joint Pliers tonight for ~$9. Still show $19 online.

Lol. Maybe so, but they seem better than what I had been using before!

Link has updated to the new price.

They seem pretty beefy. What's the downside to them?

.....................

My Lowes has done this to me on a couple of occasions, giving the pickup e-mail and show up to no stock. In both instances, I asked for the store manager and sternly and politely tore into them about how it was a waste of my time and lack of product to show for it. In both instances, I was able to convince the store manager to offer me a like product of my choosing and at the state sales price of the original item that should have been picked up originally.

You might want to give that a whirl the next time it happens. Those customer service desk weenies who get the online orders in are not suppose to allow that situation to happen and should have called you to state it was out of stock, they got lazy and wasted your time.

That is what it was all around me. One store about 45 min away that i frequent had it for the $33 and had 1 in stock. I check every now and then at all local stores since it was posted here for $88 or $96 a while back. Glad I waited now.

And i see it is back to 135 at the same store i just bought it from.

It is up to $229 here in California. I used the WV store and it was in fact $33.80 but you aren't allowed to ship it so you'll have to pick it up in store. Sweet find if you are in the area.

I just ordered one for pickup at $54.08. Thanks for posting! I almost bought this a few months ago when it was lowered from $169 to $129..then it was raised back to $149. I want it only for the framing nailer; I already have the others in a Dewalt set.

Same here, i also bought the pack of locking pliers....all junk.

+1. I bought the combo pack of pliers a year or so ago to keep in my wood shop and they are so cheaply made the handles started to fall off, they were loosely constructed. Bad

I lied. When I added the $33.80 purchase to my cart just for grins, it said it was added but at the $135 price but that I couldn't ship it or pick it up. Random.

I noticed this a few months ago when I had my eye on them. I was able to find a store ( can't remember the #) that allowed to me ship at the lower price. I waited and missed out. I believe mine was the last in stock at my store. The customer service guy couldn't believe it sold for so cheap.

You will hate those. Don't mean to be negative but Kobalt pliers are the worst tool they make.

Nah, I got those groove joint plier set. They're real nice.

It just depends on what you buy. I think it's better if you go in store before buying them to see the fit & finish. I have a bunch of their stuff and have never had a problem with anything down to the bolt cutters. Granted I have low expectations because I get most of the stuff on clearance and with my credit card coupon(s) but still. In retrospect I might have too much modern non-us kobalt stuff.

Went by Lowes last night and picked up the Wiss 3 piece set for 19 and change. I will try to hit another one today and pick up a set for my brother for Christmas.

Thanks for the heads up- I just got my confirmation for $14! :rocker: Bloomfield, CT should have two more at $13.50 plus tax.

I bought one for $80-something in August, so I'll see if I can get mine price adjusted too.

Thanks for the heads up! I have been waiting for a deal on air nailers and I've been looking at these! I did a store pickup at $67 for the set but I printed out your $33.80 to see if I can get the lower price when I go in to pick it up today!:rocker:
