Optional Charges for the Freight Company (Non Taxable)
I feel the Dock Pick up will work best as you go there at your convenience as when they deliver it to your home someone has to be there to take delivery.
Simply drive to the Freight Dock and they will load the equipment in your or your friends Pick up truck. Think of how the friends that will want to use this lift help you get it delivered.![]()
I appreciate the thought, but I have my own truck and most of my friends don't even know that there are metric and SAE sized bolts out there. It just ***** being in California, like usual, and having to pay the tax on this deal pretty much negates any incentive to participate in the GB here when I have a Costco 8 miles down the road and am physically capable of loading/unloading 300+ lbs of metal on my own. Doesn't mean I won't be jealous when I start hearing about everyone getting their deliveries in though...
I hate it when someone offers me $200 off of something.![]()

i think there is 4 more days until the costco one goes back up to 2249 but wouldnt you be paying tax at costco anyways? tax on $1800 is still cheaper than tax on $1999
Again, only personal opinion and it is still a good deal nonetheless but is one helluva deal if you live outside Cali!
Have no way to determine if my garage floor can take the stress.
I've thought about this- since you can't tell if there is a void under the concrete floor where you're drilling, it's a gamble. I think it would be possible to get a couple piece of plate steel around 3/8"-1/2" about 24" square. Drill your holes for the columns through the plate and the concrete. Use the plates like you would washers on a bolt to spread the stress out across a much larger area while still not in the way for the most part. Might even get a bevel ground into the edges.
When you're not using lift, you could store the plates with the lift and leave the floor flat.
You could probably get away with smaller plates, possibly 18x18. Whatever you do, it should work to help even with lighter floors.
4. Hold the drill perpendicular to the concrete surface drill out the “A” pilot hole to a minimum depth of 5-1/2” deep using a rotary hammer drill and 7/8” concrete drill-bit. (See figure 11)

I'm ordering right now. I called yesterday to confirm, and it does come with 10 Wei anchors. Nothing else is needed.
It's actually coming up as $1,820.00
$2,249.00
-$429.00
=$1,820.00
I'm not sweating the $20 however it would be nice if it was the advertised $1,800 even.
Thanks UPSHIFT for setting this up!

UPSHIFT:
Question: The pricing has been for the MaxJax itself. But the installation also requires the mounting hardware. I see this is available separately with a couple of options. Does this mean the mounting hardware is not included? The epoxy grip anchor grip kit is another $150. Wei anchor bolts with expanding sleeves are also available for $8.75 each (10 needed per lift installation).
I need to budget for this as well and make sure I order the correct stuff. Advice?
Delivery: The agreement terms listed also state that no lift gate service.
UNLOADING THE FREIGHT TRUCK
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"A forklift is recommended to unload all lifts. The trucking company is only responsible for delivery to your door; you are responsible to unload your equipment. Lift-gate service is not available due to weight and dimension restrictions. If your lift cannot be unloaded upon the initial delivery there will be charges for re-delivery at a later date. "
The product page lists liftgate delivery available at $140.
Which is it?
Then call Dannmar or GES.Call for a $20 refund, I talked to them and they made a mistake. The coupon should now correctly give the full $449 off.![]()
Thanks Upshift for setting up the group buy!
I just ordered and can't wait to try it out. I have read all the comments on garage journal and it seems to be a great lift.
I really enjoy my maxjax.. It's been very beneficial so far... even when just detailing cars...or working on the lawnmower...lol
Sorry for the crappy attached pics.
I also made a modification to mine by drilling two more holes, which from what I understand is fine because many others have done so but for legal reasons you are on your own I'm sure...etc.
The first picture of my car you can see it's super low and it's great for changing tires. The next picture is a hole I drilled in between the two factory holes. By doing so I feel like it's greatly made this easy to use. My only gripe is that I wish I had a large lift that would go higher but honestly at the time I had low garage doors and wasn't planning on doing a high lift track system.. now that I did though it really opens the garage up.
I like this lift and truly think it's great for the home back yard mechanic.
The only trouble I have is lifting my ranger since the rails are so far in on the vehicle... All other vehicles including my dad's grand caravan has had no issues what so ever.
Hope that helps someone.

QUESTION: Are there covers available for the columns?
While I hope to use this in the garage, I know that I'll more likely use it in the driveway instead. And when this lift isn't in use, due to limited storage, I may have to store the columns outside alongside the house. It's clean and dry, but it's possible to get rain in there so I'd really like to have some sort of cover like a BBQ grill cover that could slip over it to keep it clean and dry. If there are covers already made, this would make the lift that much more valuable to me.
If not, then I will have to figure out a way to fabricate one. I'm sure I could go to an upholstery shop that does boats or car covers and have them sew up something, but that will be pricey. Thoughts? Suggestions?
