Portage Michigan location is closing shop. Everything is at least 40% off. Just blew $100.

Anything left?

Went last week at 20% and tried to buy the diamond plate hardware display. But no go [emoji35]

Yes, a fair amount. It was worth my while. That display is still there, I don't recall if it had a sale tag on it. We are going to stop back by and look at the rollers/ paint brushes so I'll let you know.

Sku 370-5039 halogen light with tripod only $19.88 I know last week it was 24.99. Not sure why it says only a penny off in my area. Must be a flaw

Menards has a location closing? Are they opening a new store nearby, or is it just closing?

Personally, I would rather have a Menards store nearby than get bargains when the store is closing. I like Menards more than Home Depot.

I would love to buy the entire nut and bolt section of a Home Improvement store or a hardware store that is closing.

They are opening what I have heard is their larger store yet across town. The portage location isn't very big and doesn't have as good a selection as the nearby Home Depot and Lowes.

They did that around me probably 5 or so years ago now. The old store was very small and the selections were poor. The new store is at minimum double the size, two levels with a conveyor belt escalator for getting between floors with a cart. I can't say I've ever gone in there to get something and found it was out of stock.

The kicker is it's less than a mile from the old store and now across the street from a Home Depot and back to back with a Farm and Fleet (similar to Fleet Farm).

I don't think the two-level stores are any bigger than the larger single-level stores, they're just in a more compact footprint for more expensive areas, because the land costs are lower. There are 2-story and 3-story Targets, 3-story Kmarts, etc.

One does not joke about the size of a hardware/home improvement store!

It appears that one is in St. Paul, MN (reverse image google search), but very similar to the one here in Waukesha.

There are quite a few like that in MN. I've found Menards always has a better supply of those random odds and ends for electrical, plumbing, or whatever jobs. Probably because of how big most of the stores are!

I have been in both, very large! I was intrigued with how the shopping cart wheels lock when on the conveyor. I wondered if this system is something that Menard's came up with or a system that was already available.

The cart wheels are very common in Europe such as Airports and OBI (Germany version of Home Depot).

Smart Electrician 100' 12-3 extension cord is on sale for $58.88 each: Link

If you have signed up as a contractor, you would have gotten the Rough Electrical Catalog which has a coupon for $20 off that SKU, limit 2. So final cost for a 100' 12-3 cord would be $38.88. I am not sure but the contractor desk may have those catalogs with coupons.

I have the Menards rough electrical but cant find the coupon, was it a insert or printed on a page? The contractors desk had a bunch of the catologs but i just grabbed the top one. Maybe someone else took the coupon if it is an insert.

It's the bottom left of the back cover.

Sorry... not sure. I got one in the mail this month, and the coupon was on the back page. Sign up as a contractor - you get a coupon each month, and it's never a big deal but some like this one are worth it.

Agreed, anything Ecklind is very good quality and value. These are rebadged for Snap On and others. - Paul

Has anyone received their rebate check from the last 11% rebate deal? I think that was maybe 6 weeks ago. I know i mailed it that week and I don't see it on the rebate center tracking webpage. I didn't make a copy either and it was almost $200 in rebate
