I needed to get the air up there! Spiral duct seemed like the right answer.

Great minds think alike! Love the spiral duct look. I like your vents more than the saddles and rectangle vents I did on mine... Live and learn I guess!

I'm sorry I missed this. Your shop looks like its coming along great. I need to post some updates. A LOT has been going on with the shop and even more with the house. New $30k septic system that has been run to both but I still need to bring into the shop and make a bathroom. I've also installed spiral duct in the shop. I've just started to rebuild my entire living room and kitchen floor from the dirt up so that's been an adventure and has taken me away from the shop as well. I thought about starting a thread on the Garage Gallery that I can post all the happenings.
Thanks! It's been a lot of work, but it's coming together (slowly)... Here is the latest Mezzanine pic, complete with spiral duct

I had no idea what I was doing, just went to the place to pick it up and asked "what do I need". Seems to work.

Just found your thread, and you did an amazing job, ON EVERYTHING. Spent way too much time reading it when I should be doing something productive, but I learned a lot so it’s not wasted time by any means. Also led me to NickH’s thread.
Both of them have me thinking about using a Worldwide Steel building, if/when I get a shop built.

Great to hear. I love this building. The only problem is 40x30 isn't big enough...lol Everyone's problem here is outgrowing their space. The great thing about the Worldwide Steel Buildings, and I'm sure with most others, is that I can be added onto. I have about 30 allowable feet that I can stretch the building in the future if I want.

I learned a lot along the way of building this mezzanine and it has given me skills that I am now using on our house. Right now I'm repairing our entire bottom floor from the dirt up because of the shady house flippers we bought from six years ago. They covered up rotten joists, debris and old termite damage that was under an area we couldn't see or our inspector just simply ignored. I've torn out everything down to the dirt, cleaned it out, added vapor barrier, new joists, sub floor and soon flooring. Basically all that was done in the shop minus the vapor barrier of course. The mezzanine gave me the confidence to take this huge task on myself and save THOUSANDS of dollars that several contractors quoted us to do it. Certainly not as quick as a crew could do it but I have lost faith in having someone else do something for me after seeing such shady work and short cuts that people do these days. You can tell on my mezzanine I take my time and do it right.
