Last minute delima. What’s smallest shop bathroom size I can get away with for a sink, and a toliet? Will have slop sink mounted on exterior wall outside of bathroom for main cleanup

Skip the sink. ******* only needs about 32" wide 48" deep if you do an out swing door.
If you want a sink, add 24" to width.
Yep, skip the sink if you are adding a slop sink outside the bathroom.
3x5 seems like it would work, but you will need to go outside to change your mind!
Depends on whay you want to use it for. Bathroom duties only? Then 3x5. If you will be changing from work to street clothes you might want more room.

Seriously though. What is up with making bathrooms tight? I'd never do it. Also, you need to consider the space you have available and what makes sense. That said, here are some guidelines.

A pocket door can be a real space saver, my garage toilet room has one. The only sink in the garage is outside the toilet room.

Is this for your personal use or in a business ? Around here in a business they have to be handicap accessable. I bet mine is about 6x8 ?

I was introduced to this combo when I first went to Japan, long ago.
When you flush, the tank fill water flows through the spigot on top where the sink is. You can then wash your hands and the slightly soapy water goes into the tank to use for the next flush.
Yeah, no hot water, but it’s simple and saves space and water too.

Measure a gas station bathroom and check out the layout.
For what you do, have you considered the shower ? Not only for showering but emergency decon, eye flush or anhydrous accidents.

I would say minimum would be 3' wide x 6' long. toilet at one end, sink at the other. door centred between them opening out

My first house had a sink/toilet bath off the master bedroom. Width was just barely wider than the toilet. Sink (wall hung, no vanity) was in front of the toilet and if a person was at the sink, one could not be sitting on the toilet. The person sitting on the toilet faced the door opening that was just barely past the sink. It has been a lot of years, but I swear the dimensions must have been about 28 by 48-50 inches. I particularly remember this because of the day mom and dad were visiting and mom decided to use that facility only to drop her jade necklace down the toilet. Lovely job to pull the toilet and take it to the back yard to upend to retrieve the necklace!

I've always felt that layout/combo results in a very awkward reach for the sink.

Dumping warm, soapy water into the tank is going to make it an absolute mess as well. No thanks.
No tape measure needed. Just count ceiling or floor tiles.Officer. Really I was just measuring the restroom.

If you make it as small as possible the only thing you guarantee is regret - probably for many years.

In my shop planning, I'm thinking similar to OP, just with a 36x36 corner shower added. Toilet+sink. Slop sink outside of bathroom.
I don't want the absolute smallest Tommy Boy bathroom, but like some other commenters, I don't want extra bathroom storage space.

Mine is roughly 5x10 feet with a *******, 4ft counter top with sink and also has my well panel and a small pressure tank inside. Probably didn't need to be quite that big but it just worked out that way. Plenty of room to change clothes or anything like that if you wanted or else hold two women when we are having parties (since women cant go to the bathroom themselves for some reason)
Friend of mine has a bathroom that I would say is probably 3x6 and has a ******* and a 2x2sink in it. Barely enough room to open the door. It is pretty cramped.

Yea, I think 5x5 would work for a half bath, but add the corner shower (which looks to be 36-38" radius from the corner. Then what? 5x7? 6x8?

My last house had a 5x8 master. Toilet, 30" vanity and 42" corner shower. Door had its own dedicated space, but an out swing would replicate that.
Enough room for activities, for sure
Probably e good choice. You don't want to be sitting on y crapper and having your knees hit the other wall.

I think the toilet and sink opposite each other is probably the most-narrow, and most practical use of space. We just did that for a half-bath in a laundry room, where a partition wall separate the W/D from the half-bath.

I made mine larger than needed. I keep it warmer than the rest of the building (for a couple years it was the only heated room) so it was nice having a cabinet for some supplies. I also use it as a winter paint booth for small projects.

Smallest? Look at a boat or RV. Or just build the crapper against the wall and put up a room divider. You can frame out the room later, or not.

If you are looking for the minimum I'd do a 3'X5' toilet room with a pocket door. Since that means you will have water and sewage for the garage, I'm assuming you will also have some kind of deep sink, either a stainless restaurant style or a laundry tub in the garage. Do your hand washing there.
EDIT: I see Nadogall had the same idea. Oh, and don't forget the magazine rack, decent lighting and a shelf for spare rolls of TP.
