About the same product. The wood ***** the epoxy up so buy extra
BTW, I guess I'll be going back to Menard's tomorrow to buy another 2.5 car kit to finish the ramp door and get a "second coat" on the trailer floor.
It will be very interesting to see how much further the second coat will go.
Would using a primer or a water sealer on the wood have made a difference?
Sherwin Williams recommended no primer under the epoxy I used. Mine doesn't show the wood like yours I just wish it was thicker.
On the plus side the finish will be way thicker once you do the second coat than any surface job on concrete.
I wouldnt be too pissed, that epoxy acted just like stain. That would use tons of product, im surprised you even got the whole inner floor done first coat

Rustoleum didn't mention it either, I figured the type of product it was, it would seal somewhat better and not show the wood. If I had known what i was going to end up with I would have went with another product.
Nutts: your trailer is really looking better every time i look in on your thread. way to stick to just putting more product and time into the floor cause it looks pretty sweet now.
speaking of the burnouts in the garage didn't you just tell your bride you were in a hurry to get to a fire?
i bet your garage/shop smelled really good for a few days didn't it?

That is more than creative, that is genius!

AAAAAARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
This drives me crazy. My cabinet guy called today and they are done, but's raining. It hasn't rained all Summer and now it's going to be like 5 days straight that it has rained before I can pick them up. One of the other places I have to stop is closed Saturday and Sunday but the second one is open on Sunday. The third one is closed Sunday and Monday. I can't catch a break here and it's probably going to be Tuesday before I can go, lining everything up. People wonder why it takes me so long to get stuff done sometimes. . . . well here it is, going to be a week of literally getting nothing done.
Sorry for the rant but I needed to vent.
I might add, the floor has some spots that have more shine than others and you can see some of the first coat flakes that I had to go back over. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have put flakes down till the second coat.
Just say you did that on purpose to create depth. Looks great, the flake bleed through adds to the look.
