I think I will move the couplings to the bottom of the manifold for less stress on hoses when plugged in...

Ok... Multiple things to say, in no particular order.

- Immaculate work with... everything.
- Those are quite possibly the nicest welds I've ever seen. I wish I could find someone in Arkansas that could do this, at least without charging the cost of the car.
- I want a Raptor.
- How did you get all the fence posts so perfectly level? ahha. Did you stain the wood with anything in particular?
- I wish even one of my cars looked that clean underneath.

I am for the Lethbridge/Calgary area originally but have relocated to Arkansas. Wish I was back home just to have that welder hookup.

Nice work!

Thank you!!

It's nice having a friend who is such an awesome welder and fabricator!! Good deals!!

I braced the posts and used string lines, one did get away from me and I had to shim it!! Haven't stained it yet, it is all pressure treated...

The Raptor isn't that clean underneath!! Lol!! I love that truck!! Gas pig though!!

Is that a light inside the mailbox, or just a reflection? I wouldn't let my mail currier touch that mailbox either. I'm already on my 3rd box, since they drive off while holding onto the door before its latched completely.

I need to get a kaboda track machine in my backyard to screw in some piles... The only way is thru the garage... I have an 8 foot high double door facing the alley, and a 7 foot high door facing the back yard... Drive thru!!

The machine is a few inches taller than the 7 foot door... The opening was framed for an 8 foot door, and then another header was placed for the smaller door...

I am going to cut it back to the higher header and install an 8 foot high door, that will get the rails and opener another foot higher too...

The sides will just need to be recapped,

Nice sandblast cabinet, I need one of those :) That mailbox is sweet! Nice friend

I love the blast cabinet!! Dee Blast Industries makes them for Snap On...

Great friend that I haven't met yet!! We both have posted at the same mustang forum for years!! A few years ago I sent him a couple Inuit soapstone carvings and some Canadian Purdys chocolate, been going back and fourth ever since!!

Is your air hose reel a Legacy? I have the exact same one and it has worked great although I did have to rebuild the swivel a few years ago as it wore out.

I have a MAC blasting cabinet that is very similar to yours. I have had it for 25+ years now and works great. You will love it for detailing small parts. It never fails, I always seem to run across a bracket or something that needs to be bead blasted and repainted.

Hi Mike!!

The hose reel was labeled Campbell Hausfeld, I bought it at Canadian tire around 15 years ago!! Not sure who makes it for them...

I just replaced the old 1/4 hose with a 3/8 Flexzilla!!

Gotcha. It looks identical to the one on my wall labeled by Legacy. I purchased mine probably in the 15-18 year range as well, but had to rebuild the swivel 4 or 5 years ago now. It's been working fine without leakage since (knock on wood).

I am also currently running a 3/8" Flexzilla but I think I am going to go back to my rubber hose as my Flexzilla doesn't lie flat and becomes a trip hazard much more than my good ole' rubber one, although the rubber is a bit heavier.

Mike.

My jealousy is strong for everything here. It just makes my own little OCD heart so happy to see things so well thought out beforehand.

Finally got the outside of the new door finished...

I replaced the brick molding first,

Then my buddy capped the door opening and fixed the siding,

Started on the demo... First is the old siding,

20160714_135813_resized.jpg

The previous homeowner did the siding, and used 3" spiral spikes about every six inches on the strapping,

The wood siding underneath comes off pretty easy!!

First off was the the old deck,

20160718_153508_resized.jpg

The door on the left used to go to my hot tub room, it will become the temp door while the porch opening is temp boarded up...

20160718_173541_resized.jpg

I reused some wood from the deck for the steps and landing,

Installed dash cameras in my car and truck this week!!
20160804_165157_1470351420605_resized.jpg

Hard wired both of them with power boxes, and saved about $300 bucks by doing the install myself... Money for tools!!

Took a few pics of the install in the truck,

Constant power!! First wire I tested for it too!!

That is cool! Did the kit come with everything you need? Where did you purchase if you don't mind, how much? I have seen those Blackvue kits before and they get good reviews.

I purchased it local for 300 bucks... The "magic box" power supply was 40 bucks... I added a fused link, but the kit came with everything else... It is a basic install, fairly easy...

They are priced pretty good on amazon... There are cheaper ones out there for sure, but I like bells and whistles and the blackvue has a bunch of them!!!

The video and sound quality are awesome, night recording is great too...

The cloud service and wifi are pretty cool too... I connected the wifi to my home network as a hot spot... If my truck gets hit while parked on the street, the camera will send me a push notification letting me know...

Thank you HiWind!! I am looking forward to some actual building too... Need to rip away the old first though... It's good exercise, and I am saving a ton doing all the demo myself...

The refurb will be done better than code, permits and inspections for everything!! I hired a designer to draw up the plans, and an engineer to plan all the weight loads for screw piles... The rear addition and deck, front deck, and even the deck stairs are going on the screw piles...

I have an electrician, I don't touch that stuff!! My Uncle has a framing company, so that is lined up, and my best bud already said he is going to install the siding and aluminum capping the doors and windows for free!!
