Special picture shot of a coes logo:

http://www.wkfinetools.com/hUS-mech...s/A.G.Coes wrench-8in/A.G.Coes wrench-8in.asp

Very interesting shot of the Steam engine Governor logo; I have an unknown hammer logo and I suspect it is a steam Engine Governor?

It appears your hammer may be English: From http://www.sewmuse.co.uk/national%20sewing%20machine.htm

"The Trade Mark logo is an illustration of a Governor which is a mechanical device found on steam engines. Beneath the logo is the Latin inscription "Nil Desperandum" followed by the initials J.S. & S. which stand for John Shaw & Sons of Wolverhampton who sold Governor machines. "

Thanks woody! The short list at AA doesn't always show what I'm looking for.
Here's one I managed to ferret out a couple days ago:

Gilfillan Bros. LOGO stamped on ignition-magneto wrench detail 01.jpg Gilfillan Bros. LOGO stamped on ignition-magneto wrench detail 02.jpg

Gilfillan Bros. Inc., 1815 W. 16th St., Los Angeles, California

Originally makers of the then-new radios. First company on the west coast that was able to manufacture products of the then-new "Bakelite" in the 1920's. Made ignition parts for automobiles - distributor caps, among other items. Also made small ignition wrench sets for distributors and magnetos. Got out of automotive and went "high-tech", becoming a world leader in radar.

wrenches are stamped with a stylized "G B" inside a circle.

RE: Petersen Mfg. Co. "Vise-Grip" locking pliers logo:

These older pairs are not stamped, but rather have a decal affixed to them with the "gripping hands" logo:

Just a note on the logo used on the Heller Bros. files (just above - post #33 )

Don't confuse "the file with the horse on it" with product made by another file manufacturer from Cologne, Germany, which also uses a horse in its logo:
