I re-read that entire thread before I sent you that stuff this morning on the "Boston Auto Tool" items. ;)

I didn't want to post any of it there - I'll leave that to you as you're far more conversant than I am on that one!

Maybe this is a stupid question.... but have you figured out on a map how far apart these guys were?
And were any of the principals related by blood ties or marriage?

Ah, got it. If that's the case, though, I am not sure why you included a "maybe." The conclusion we reach on that thread is more definitive than that. As for email, I am terrible with it. It usually has no chronological correlation with my other activities. Sorry.

I have not mapped the addresses, except to know they are all in the Boston area. As for relationships, King and Newton shared officers, and they were in a trade association with the officers from Service Engineering. I didn't look deeper into family Bios.

EDIT: The one "maybe" I have with BATCO is that uni joint. That is different from the uni joints in the other sets. But we probably shouldn't clutter up this "lost" type thread with discussion, right?

Does anyone have information on the maker of these "Trout" nippers?

The larger one is my favorite pair of nippers and I've had them for years. Recently, I came across a smaller pair and snapped them up.

Just a friendly reminder, this is a section for tools that we already know the answer, so that members can look it up and find the maker.

Best to start your new post under your own name asking who made this tool, then later I can add it to this section.

Here are a pair of Willard battery wrenches and a Whitaker marked battery wrench made by Bonney. My Bonney experts tell me that it’s dated 1945.

This has come up before but the consensus on the Garage Journal is that the following logo is that of the J. H. Williams & Company; not the Wiha Tool Company.

https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=472516

I've seen the copyright notice posted somehere in etherland, but I didn't keep the reference like I know I should have. Thought it might have been twertsy, but I checked his posts and couldn't find it.
Didn't find it at AA either.

What ever happened to twertsy anyhow?
Don't see much from him lately.

Some of you may recognize the name from old axes your grandfather passed down to you.
The Evansville Tool Works also produced tools used for the construction of the railroads.
