Very nice. They didn't make the semi deep 8pt sockets very long. There is 5 in total 3/8"-5/8"Part number on socket 5112
Yes it has.Wow, seen some use too!
Whenever I get a punch or chisel that is dangerously mushroomed I dress it up in case I’m tempted to use it.

A coworker almost lost an eye to a fragment like that. It does happen!

It is not original. They came with a pin that slid in there to hold the jaws.plumb 4520, a bolt remover? marked bc. is the bolt original or a hack replacement?

I seen a similar one but not that one go for $110ish if I remember right. I don't own one though.Who on here all has the plomb tool carry totes? What did you guys pay if you don’t mind me asking? I have recently become enamored with them but they seem to be in short supply

I don't remember seeing anything in the 42 era catalog. They made a few totes. I know they made one to hold Y series and Z series sockets with a raised tray with 9/16" and 7/8" punched in to hold the sockets in place.I know Oregonrockcrusher owns a cut down version. Was this tote only offered in the 30’s or was it ever offered with the more modern v triangular logo?

Dang maybe I am wrong. I have not seen the bolts in the catalog before.I've come across, in the wild, conservatively, at least 2 dozen of those stud pullers, hell, just last week I left 3 ( 1 proto 2 plomb) behind at a garage sale in Kelso WA. I'd say that maybe 1/4 of them had a bolt like that instead of the pin.

Hey Smoke. Here's a crummy pic of one with the "V".
That one is nice! Is this the only one you own or do you have the earlier one as well?

I have one of the earlier ones but not the one Roy is referring to, I middle manned one of those to a guy who has the sockets to fill it.
Any pictures? I think I can visualize what he is talking about but am not 100% sure

.......anyway, while waiting for someone else to post here's some intermission music....

It seems like the wedges get lost very easily. Very nice tote!Yeah, I'm not saying you're wrong. Just an observation. I'd say about a 20% of them were missing one of the wedges as well.
Boy these are nice MR.X! Is the new owner on here?
