Forgot to get a pic earlier but they're No. 207.

Was surprised to find them, didn't see them because I was looking at some oddities (posted on garage sale thread) and wanted to get the box they were in and a few other pieces before the crowd swarmed. Haven't seen any other plomb at all since last year I think(only found a ratchet, DBE wrench, and a universal socket in a lot then) and only other pebble I've found was a proto flare nut wrench I got this year.Nice. "Name-Nurl" handles are not that common in my experience. I think I've found two in 12 years.
That chisel is so bad
Don, what was the overall length of that when you were done? Originally was 9" ?
Nice pickup! Don’t see too many of the tune up pouchesHaven't really been on much, the Plomb harvesting has been a bit slow for awhile.
I did pick this up today at the Long Beach Hi-Po swap meet, got it for $50, including all the bits inside.
In the catalog it's listed as set 3200-D.
A co-worker almost lost an eye (major damage, but saved) when a chunk flew off a Morse drill drift. He had put his safety glasses down to take a lunch break, then had an impulse to knock the drill out of the sleeve as he walked past it. Bad decision!@d42jeep -
I had a splitting wedge that I mushroomed out like that chisel you picked up the other day.
Thought it would be interesting to see just how far I could push it.
Was all fun and games until a chunk of it broke loose and went flying over into the next-door neighbor's yard.
I watched the trajectory as it flew over the fence. Fortunately he'd just mowed his lawn so it was pretty easy to find the grape-sized piece of steel that I sent flying.
It got a short ride to the scrap-metal box.
Check out the 29 cat it looks what would have been their 89 in the previous style (22 1/2 deg) to the X wrenches was called a 58?What him say!
One showed up here a few years ago if I recall, a bigger size, but I don't recall seeing any others. Oddly, there was no X89 (1/2 x 9/16) predating the 3026. I guess they felt those openings were covered by the X78 and the X910, why be redundant.
Thanks. I don't have access to a 1929 cat. I have a 1928, which doesn't include them, and a 1932. Using the 1932, I was comparing the X series list in the CANCELLED price list to the 30XX series list later in the same catalog. X58? Kinda breaks the pattern they set from X56 to X1920, where I would expect the 1/2 x 9/16 to be X89 between X78 and X910, but hey, it's their company and their model numbers.Check out the 29 cat it looks like their 89 was called a 58.

I have one that’s unmarked! Anytime I can find a straight plomb flat tip that’s not destroyed by a caveman it comes home with me.Going right for the gusto, this No. 9714 is the first piece I am posting out of my flea haul this morning. Jock (@Provincial) and @btrnuthatch have posted them before, maybe others who haven't put the model number in their post (thereby evading the search engine). It's a whopper. The largest Plomb made. I am VERY please with the condition. More pics attached, too.

Nice find! I know what you mean about looking for very certain finishes and how difficult it can be to discern from a photo
