Been about 3 weeks here, no parts.


I haven't gotten my replacements yet, but I think the thread has served its purpose in spreading the word about the recall. If people haven't seen it by now, they're probably looking right over the stickies anyway.
Been gone for a few days. I was going to leave this a sticky till the end of November, which has come and gone. I've unstuck it but now wondering if I should stick it again till the end of the year ?
What are your thoughts ladies and gentlemen ?

I have received 3 of my 5 replacement units and have sent the old ones back.
In this situation I'd say that OP status doesn't grant me a special vote, as it isn't my recall. I just happened to have posted about it first. And there seem to be many persuasive arguments for stickiness.
Surely their company must have had an insurance policy to cover needed recalls?
I submitted two on 11.3 and haven't gotten any back yet.
Or more than likely, they'll go **** up due to not realizing the size of this recall, and every Tom, ****, and Susan scouring the countryside for units to have warrantied.

Has anyone else besides FORDMAN7795 had a website response listing their units as Unaffected?
I ran three H110G units through the Web interface and all three came back unaffected. Called the 800 number and was told that although the model was on the recall list, not all of these units were affected. It is also serial number related. FWIW, my three H100G units all pre-date 2004.
There is no mention of S/N impact on the FAQ.
Just got this email today too.I just got this email from Kidde:

I'm not sure what's up with that, since I already got my replacements?!?
