should have said it before and after checkout. something didnt qualify or you used a coupon that dropped your order below $75 OOP pretax. id double check the order and if should have qualified, chat with a rep soon before the order ships so you can fix it.

im pretty sure he was saying the order confirmation said he would only get 69c back which means he probably spent $68-69 OOP pretax. even when you ordered yours it should have given you the total amount in points you would receive. but yes, they credit to the account once picked up/delivered.

Ooh, great find. [emoji106] I didn't see this until too late to go today (Sunday) with their short hours, but I will check it out on Monday for sure! Hopefully that in-store price will continue tomorrow. The online price just dropped to $25.71 today.
I'd be happy to post my receipt if they are hesitant to match assuming it doesn't scan that price. I've also had luck getting one store to call another to price match. So if they call Buena Park CA Sears they can confirm the price. Heck I already had 1 48" magnetic and I got another one just cuz.

Correct, I chatted online, Barnabus says he is going to cancel the order, and I will reorder and add to it to keep it over $75.

Should I see anything about the $75 for $75 after checkout? I don’t see anything but .69c in points. Not even a mention.

Thanks, go ahead and upload it if it's not too much trouble. I haven't ever tried to match anything in-store other than Sears.com, so I don't know what they'll want. Hopefully it will just come up the same price. :)

Keep in mind that you can’t use any free cash offers and still collect the $75 on $75, selecting the free cash offer takes off the promo. You can use points to my knowledge.

That seems right, the checkout page states that use of any freecash will void the cashback offer.

Nothing has changed. Standard requirements for deals like this: Your order must be above the minimum required OOP (out-of-pocket) total after all points / freecash surprise points offers / coupons have been subtracted, and before any sales tax or shipping fees have been added.

Only if you use enough to bring it below the spending threshold, otherwise they are fine to use.

That is my experience as well. Just did this - used points to bring order to just over $75 OOP, $75 in points show on order confirmation, first $25 in points awarded when the products shipped.

Mine arrived last week. The lever is slightly loose, but the tool functions fine. I’m not going to send it back. The lever on the sears tool looks the same in the pictures, I’m pretty sure they came out of the same factory. As the rest of the parts look identical too.
0h good then. [emoji56]

For this offer ($75 back on $75 spent) the checkout page stated that use of any freecash would void the offer.

IIRC that has always been the case for freecash.

Are you referring to this line?

"* FREECASH in points can't be combined with coupons or other offers"

In my past experience, I was able to use whichever points as long as I paid the minimum purchase OOP.

EXAMPLE:

Cashback offer - Spend $75, get $75 CASHBACK in points

If my subtotal is $90, then I would redeem only $15 in points (cashback points/freecash points/sweeps points).

So I end up paying $75 +tax with my own OUT-OF-POCKET (OOP) money, which would qualify for the deal.

That is the same line of boilerplate that's been there for years. What I and Doohickey said is how it's worked for years and continues to match up with others' experiences.

yes.

It has been months since I have gotten any freecash (not sure why?) though, so I am unable to test.

If you are using a coupon to pay for part of an order, you can't also use a surprise points freecash offer to pay for part of the same items. As long as you don't go below the out-of-pocket spending requirement amount, neither interfere with you earning new points back.

timoboy - I just got back from my Sears... I was unable to get your $14.95 price on the 48" level - they had no idea how you could've gotten that and couldn't match it, so be glad you did. I had enough points to go ahead and order it at the $25.71 price for immediate pick-up, so at least I'll be able to get the chat people to match the difference if it drops any lower online in the next 30 days.

Shoot! It was actually $14.97. If anyone else wants to give it a go with an understanding cashier please try. They had a ton of them, I only got one. I'd ship if it was cheaper. Have them call the tool department at the Buena Park, CA Sears. Phone number is on the receipt.

Also they had the D-Handle transfer shovel mentioned here earlier for $4.47

Finally, found a C3 Vacuum hidden under a no longer used register in sporting goods for $28, $4 or so after points. 1538446910171.jpg

Wow, you hit the jackpot at that store. The guy at my store insisted all Sears stores would have the same prices unless it's a manager clearance/return, a non-corporate store (e.g. Hometown), or a closing store. I told him it was none of those, but he had no idea what to do about it and didn't think price-matching another location was a thing.

X.97 and x.47 are usually clearance items at Sears, so another store wouldn't price match, since they're all locally priced.

Also take down your receipt photo, you got some of your credit card numbers on it!

Did you even look at the receipt? No credit card numbers anywhere.

If you're talking about the "Rewards Card" line near the top, that's the SYW member number. Last four of that is even more useless than last four of a credit card number, AFAIK. There is no part of my credit card number on my most recent Sears receipt where I had out-of-pocket spending, from what I can see, not even under the part where he folded it.

(Edit: I was wrong, I overlooked that the "Acct" line on my receipt is 'C' followed by the last four of one of my cards... up to him if he cares about that, though; it is still pretty useless to only have those numbers. Anyway, thanks for trying to help, timoboy. :) Next time anyone wants to share something like that, just fold the receipt a bit higher to avoid the unnecessary controversy.)

It's fine, it's only the last four digits, no one can steal his info with that alone. It'z also just the rewards card, but even if it was the credit card, it would not matter.

Well-reviewed Craftsman router at a decent price, plus points back for anybody who hasn't done the $75 back in 3 installments deal yet (ends Sat 10/6) and wants to:
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-12-amp-2-hp-fixed-plunge-base-router/p-00927683000P
$89.99 sale, $124.99 regularly

(Don't use points/offers/coupons to lower the out-of-pocket price before tax to less than $75 if you want the points-back promo to work.)

This is actually false. Many stores share the same sale price and will honor the difference. it just depends if it's a store that does clearance or not. 2 near me do, one does not clearance anything.

Also, when items no longer come up in the system with a price (but are still on the shelf) which is the next step after clearance, if you show them a receipt with a price they are forced to sell it for that. That's how I was getting $24.99 drill presses when they no longer rang up in the system. showed them an old receipt and good to go.

And FYI those numbers are meaningless. You need a pin and the whole account to do anything. You would otherwise be able to go in the trash outside your local Sears and steal people's account funds. Even Sears isn't that stupid

This is not entirely true. I waiting to checkout and an older lady ahead of me put in her phone # and asked the clerk to apply her points. Clerk asked her what her pin was, she said I have no idea. Clerk hit a few buttons and was able to apply her points on the purchase.

You give Sears too much credit.:lol_hitti

Thanks for the receipt.

I was hoping there was a change in corporate policy, but the stores I frequent still insist they cannot price match a receipt from another store. The 48" level rang up at the regular full price.

It's bad enough when the store doesn't have enough checkout counters open, but a line would get even longer with customers who can't remember their PIN.

Needless to say, I didn't complain when the cash registers were updated with a PIN override option.

Oh, you can also bypass the PIN by printing out your member card, which has a barcode the cashier can scan.

I believe your ZIP is a default PIN unless you originally received a membership card or changed your PIN. I used to work at Sears, and at that time there was no "magic" way for us to figure out your PIN, except this ZIP code trick, which worked more often than not. Still had to call SYWR more than a few times with customers...
