I went to Sears yesterday and found I could not use the reward points on their store computer. Anyone had the same experience?

I've always been able to use Rewards points and Surprise points on the store computer.

Starting about 2-3 weeks ago, it stopped letting me use "Surprise points", but can still use Rewards points.

Do you mean rewards points or surprise points.

Rewards points (works) - You have 6,300 ($6.30) rewards points.

Surprise points (doesn't work) - You have 5,000 ($5.00) to spend on all Sears/Kmart products. Or, You have 10,000 ($10.00) to spend on all Tool Purchases of $75 or more., etc.

It seems that in the last couple weeks the In Store Kiosk computers are more restrictive.

I haven't tried it since last week. Are they now restricting Rewards points as well as Surprise points?

For anyone who has points to burn or surprise points, I've liked my cman pro jack stands. They are on sale for $30 right now. They don't get this cheap very often.

Great jackstands. I have them. A couple times a year they pop down to about $27.50. But $29.98 is a great deal if you have some points to burn.

I've been thinking to get a second set. So I have four of them all around in case I need to put the entire car up on blocks.

I meant surprise points not working. Rewards points are still there. Maybe sears change their policy for store computer use.

In store I saw dewalt 1/2" small set 25 bucks (taiwan).
5 piece sae wrench sets with pouch ~2.50 (marked down to 4.50 on tag but ring up this price

I got 2 sets of the wrenches haven't opened them yet wanted to use the pouch for other wrenches and just use the wrenches at home (not much use for sae for me). Don't know if this was mentioned yet.

Same experience for me the last 2-3 weeks. I thought it was some kind of temporary glitch. I hope it is not a permanent change to the policy.

Craftsman Professional 5-1/2 in. Needle Nose Pliers
$3.98

Are these USA? If they are, I'm in.. if not, I don't need them... have a lot of cheap ones already.

Been replacing a lot of my cheap tools lately with better brands, preferably USA. I've been on a Channellock kick, but I'm picking up a lot of SK lately too.
My gold handle ones are USA, they must be older.

You can find the set of three or five or however many is in it for 9.99 sometimes during the year. Don't know if just a local sears price or online. Been a while

FYI: today I got an email re: spend $30, get $30 back in points. I stacked this with $10 in surprise points and the text coupon for $10 off $50. Split my order into two back to back orders (once the points loaded to my account) and got a pretty reasonable deal.

DO NOT buy this light. I have had mine for a year and had to warranty it about once a month. If you turn it on while it is connected to the charger, it fries it. The charger craps out randomly. Battery life goes from excellent to 10 mins in a few days.

I have had good luck with the above light. I do not use it in an automotive setting, but we use it around the house and it is our go to flashlight when the power goes out. It puts out good light. Mine had fallen several times and has not broken. I think it is a good buy

Yes, great light, works well for automotive applications. No probably with frying it as the other poster suggested, maybe he got a bad one or is misusing it. Might be power line instability in his area as well, most low end electronics don't have much surge or spike protection.

I've been using mine at least weekly for at least two years, no loss in battery capacity.

I just ordered a Knipex 10" pliers wrench for $21.18. There were 30,000 in surprise points in my account for anything $30 and over. I don't know how targeted this is or if i just got lucky. I had not used SYWR points in a while since they had screwed up my account 5mo ago. But hey if they want to give me $30...

http://www.sears.com/knipex-10-in-plier-wrench/p-00929112000P?prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

Regular price: $72.19
"Hot Buy Savings": -$21.18
Points applied: -$30.00
Total with tax: $23.61

Good luck!

I have had this light for 2 years and do not like it. It is my backup light when I forget to charge my primary light.

This light's battery life is short and it just is not very bright. I used it again yesterday evening on an automobile repair and was very disappointed in the brightness. The other downside is that it is physically a large light and difficult to use in some tight spaces.

All of my local surplus/salvage stores that sells sears returned items are full of those lights.... They are there for a reason. Also full of in-op craftsman air tools and cordless tools.
