Any of those screwdrivers left at the Lilac Mall? I could use a few. Not gonna go crazy on them though
Yep. I think half of what they had were Torx drivers, but you should be able to complete a short 1/8"-5/16" & P1-P3 set unless somebody snatched them up today.

Man I hate this place sometimes.. lol.

I stopped by my outlet store and grabbed a couple things I could find useful. I'm willing to go buy the remainder out tomorrow if anyone's interested in trading to complete sets. They had about half of 1 box left. It was a mix of long/short torx, a few phillips and slotted.

Sorry to burst your bubble....

But these are Made in China now. There is a chance of getting leftover USA, but all these sets produced in the last month or so, and going forward are 100% made in China. Both the case and the nutdrivers. So YMMV for USA on this.

Currently, the only way to guarantee 100% USA nutdrivers is to buy the 7-piece Metric nutdriver set and the 7-piece SAE nutdriver set. That will give you a 14-piece USA nutdriver set (includes 2 extra pieces, smallest Metric and smallest SAE size). But I would imagine both of those 7-piece sets will go China once stock runs out and they produce future runs.

So if you want USA nutdrivers, better jump on something now.

EDIT: PS - Your best bet at finding the 12 piece zippered case still Made in USA is to buy it from your local Kmart store. Because the stock on these moves slower at Kmart.

Also, the price is cheaper from Kmart, only $15 right now for the same set. Go over to your local Kmart, pick through them, and grab a USA set.

http://www.kmart.com/craftsman-12-pc-nutdriver-set-in-zippered-case/p-010W065282428001P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1&sid=KAx20050801x13xSlickdeals&aff=Y&PID=4485850&AID=10660381

The only thing bursting my bubble is the sale price now. I bought this set at Sears about a month ago for $25 and the nut drivers are USA, the case is china.

The stock photo of the packaging shows "Made in China". Stock photos aren't necessarily reliable, but it seems likely with the direction Craftsman is moving in.

Those are made in China and have been for a couple of years. Sometimes if you buy the singles of these wrenches you can get NOS USA. That is how i got my set

went racing on Black Friday:3gears::3gears::3gears:, THE OLE MUSTANG CRANKED OUT A 10.73 ON RADIALS THROUGH THE MUFFLERS....., but did get some saturday.....schweeeet screwdrivers!!!

Sears management is clearly dumping USA tools, for peanuts, and replacing it with China.

see the label on this box of screwdrivers? DUMP SET.

Don't know whether this deal will work for everyone, but it's worth a shot:

Wera Kraftform Plus 6 Piece Screwdriver set: $29.86

When I add it to card, I get a promotion wherein I get $20 back in points for spending $20. So it works out to be a solid deal on the screwdrivers plus $20 in points back. Sears always has these on their website, but the price fluctuates daily between around $30 and $43. Solid deal if you get free shipping.

Yeah, it must be a YMMV thing. If I carry it all the way through the checkout process I don't see any bonus points showing up. By any chance are you using the Craftsman, SYWR, or mobile app Sears site instead of their main website? Sometimes deals only show up on one of their site options. Nice deal for you though, those are nice screwdrivers.

I'm using the Sears website. I find the shopyourway one to be almost impossible to find anything on.

These aren't surprise points. I don't have any of those to use either. And in the item page, the points aren't showing up. They only appeared as bonus points once I added them to the cart. When I go into the cart, it says something at the top like "You have XXXX number of points to use today plus you will receive $20 in points back on this purchase".

Maybe it is a website glitch, but I got this deal as did my wife. So I am not alone!

Usually when you get that screen that says "You have XXXX number of points to use today plus you will receive $20 in points back on this purchase" you are able to click on "view points details" and it will tell you a complete points breakdown of how you are getting the extra points if you scroll down in the new window. Does yours tell you how specifically you are getting them? Are you by chance a Platinum Sears member?

When I click on the "View Points Details" link, it lists them as Bonus Points.

Below, the fine print is:

Members get $20 back in points (20,000 points) when you spend $20 or more on qualifying items with SEARS or KMART. Limit 1 per member.

Hope this helps!

I have the $20 deal as well. In the "details" it just says members get $20 back in points on $20 purchase of qualifying items/orders or something along those lines.

Edit, what tjpavlov said above.

That offer is random and without any warning. A friend noticed it in his cart a couple weeks ago, but I got nothing then. Two weeks later I finally got the offer, but my friend said he didn't see it again that week.

Seems to work on anything, as long you pay at least $20 out of pocket. And you can stack another reward points coupon.

The nearest Hometown store kept saying they never got those discontinued Professional screwdrivers. I had some business in another town, and luckily their Hometown store did have some of the screwdrivers left.

I just realized that my biggest scores from Sears for Black Friday were not Doorbusters, but all discontinued stuff:

The Craftsman Pro screwdrivers for $2.49.
The Craftsman Pro pick set for $8.47.
The Craftsmman Pro vise for $29.97.

That's so sad. How did you get the pick set and the vice at such great prices?

The pick set has already been on clearance for a while, but I found one set hanging at the endcap of an aisle. No clearance tag on it, so maybe that why it was ignored for so long.

The vise was mixed in with some misc clearance stuff from several departments, all thrown in a corner of the store. Luckily, the $29.97 tag was not facing outward towards the customer, so that probably helped it stick around until I found it.

This was all thanks to being dragged out to a big mall in another city on Black Friday. The nearest Sears store has slim pickings for clearance.

One of the employees at our local Sears Hometown Store said someone came in and bought all of the Professional Screwdrivers at one time. He said there were about 250 of them. I am sure its probably one of the local flea market folks. The way things sell at the few flea markets around here, I don't think there will be much profit to be had.

The Craftsman Professional Torx drivers used to sell for a huge premium on ebay. I just checked and ebay is now flooded with them. People must be flipping them for a quick profit.

I managed to find a complete long Torx set at one store, but the short T10 & T20 remain elusive. I also haven't been able to find the P2 x 12", 1/4" x 8", 5/16" x 6" or either 3/8". I didn't even know the P1 & 3/16" stubbies existed until someone here mentioned them.

Did anyone find a 1/4" x 20 slotted 47162 ? should be about 24" long from end to end. I've only seen the 1/4" x 16" 47161 on ebay and the 4 stores I went to so that may be another one that wasn't in this set.

I didn't see any, but those do pop up on Sears.com from time to time. Same goes for the 20 inch phillips.

Well, my $20 in points deal vanished. I waffled on what to buy and by the afternoon, the deal was gone. Vanished. No bonus points for me.

I can't even spend mine since another one is blocking it, I try to use that and there not allowing any in store pick up for me for some reason unless I choose a K-mart? It won't give an estimated date on any sear stores so it errors out?

These idiots just shipped me a pair of boots with a store security alarm attached. CS suggested that I drive an hour to the nearest sears so they could remove it. :headscrat Since that didn't appeal to me, he suggested I could send these back, and pay for a replacement pair. Wow. Just wow. :wtf:

Just talk to someone else, he sounds like a *****. No way would I pay one cent for their screwup.

No worries. The genius looped the wire around the shoelace. Not through one of the eyes, but around a shoelace. Even if it was installed properly, wire cutters would take care of it. I called CS cause the alarm shouldn't be there, no matter how ineptly attached. Their "solutions" were priceless.

Great tip on the USA sets. I went to the Sears by my job and they had four USA sets left amid a sea of MIC. The Sears by my house had four USA sets and no MIC at all.

I got mine for $17.99. It was priced at $19.99 in the store, but I always bring up everything I buy on my phone so they price match what's online. I wonder if they would have matched the price on the Kmart site. I'll have to try that one day.

no they dont match kmart or searsoutlet. mine doesnt. i thought sears is replacing the 12 pc set with 14 pc set but my store just got some imported 12 pc sets. are the usa sets better, other than the mental feel good part? I mean, has someone put them side by side or used them long enough to know?

Mine from 20 years ago are 14 piece sets. Then I saw they went to 12 and figured they were being cheap as usual. Mine still look new and I use some of them all the time.

kneeman, are the craftsman nut drivers hollow shank like the Klein's? I read somewhere the craftsmans are only about 1" ish deep in the shank.

Didn't know if you guys knew or not but Sears outlet has several C3 19.2V tools on clearance. And they will ship, which I thought was unusual.

http://www.searsoutlet.com/d/products.jsp?md=srh_md&stxt=c3+saw&fromUrl=search

They have the old dual laser 7 1\4" circular saw model 11585 which I have not seen in stores for over a year or longer. If you go to a regular Sears today you see a trim saw with a smaller blade and no laser.

They also have the right angle drill and the hammer drill heavily discounted.
