Sears is preparing for March 16, 2016, when 5% back in points are set to be valid; that way they minimize the profit loss. ;)

I still haven't used the 18" and 24" gear wrench ones I got last year for cheap, except to kill a possum with the 24" one night. It works good for that.

I was playing with the TOOLOFF2 code in the cart and came up with this:

Anyone familiar with the Olympia tool line? Sears listing a 24" adj for $35.98.

The Craftsman 15" adj shows $27 something on the main page, but when clicked on the price is $49.99? WTH.

http://www.sears.com/olympia-tools-...0917345000P?prdNo=46&blockNo=46&blockType=G46

I have the Olympia Tools Powergrip Bolt Cutters (the ones that the handles flip open). They seem good, and bite through the toughest chains, bolts, and locks like butter. I have a couple other various Olympia Tools products.

My opinion on Olympia Tools is that they are on the higher end of the scale of Chinese tools. Given the choice between Olympia Tools and say Harbor Freight, I'd go with Olympia Tools.

You can search on Amazon for the various Olympia Tools products, and the consensus seems to be it is a step up from China tools you typically find at Harbor Freight or even maybe Northern Tools. Good, but not great.

Probably also with an Adjustable that big, a "good" tool is acceptable. You only need a high precision adjustable in the smaller sizes.

Thanks I was considering those bolt cutters, guess I will pick them up next time they are on sale.

I thought TOOLOFF2 would work on a 5-Piece Craftsman Gasket Scraper Set; it appears to work discretely on Craftsman Screwdriver sets and other smaller Craftsman tools. As EdJack put it, YMMV :)

Doohickey, you're absolutely right. Upon checking the pricing for a 36" Pry-bar, I came across this in a Google Search, http://toolguyd.com/fyi-craftsman-pry-bars-now-made-in-taiwan/

Better buy the sets than the individual ones. If you're in need of longer ones, might as well purchase the ones from Mayhew with the striking cap (5-Piece set). :)

Might be the best time to buy this set because it now has 20% back in reward points ($3.59) with the $17.99 sale price.

There seems to be an extra 15% back promo that is stacking with the 5% back for Family & Friends promo.

People started saying all the pry bars are Made in Taiwan back in 2013, but so far that's only been the case for individually sold pry bars. I don't think anyone has posted a pic of this 3-pc set showing Made in Taiwan.

$17.09 with coupon code 9818112171874978.

Try 9817279705851049. It seems to work on some of the things TOOLOFF2 does not.

So I got my 15" adjustable wrench delivery today from Sears. There was about a 3" hole in the side of the package, and oh the box is empty....

I used the tooloff2 code to get the diamond tipped screwdriver set for under $16. I was waiting for surprise points but I don't get them very often so figured this was good enough.

Your not the only one, I ordered 2 wrenches and received a box with the flaps that made up the bottom open .... no wrenches but the paperwork had stuck to the tape. I thought it was odd that that the UPS guy just dropped the package at the door and ran......

This is the second time in less than 3 months I have received empty packages from Sears.... 2 seconds and 6" of tape and this wouldn't have happened, makes you wonder :dunno:

I really F'ing hate Sears! Just wasted over 30 minutes of my life on their stupid "Chat". It is a pretty simple issue. UPS did their job and delivered the package on time. The package was not beat up or smashed, it was poorly packaged by Sears and the heavy pointy wrench busted thru the side of the package. You think they would send a replacement package... no not Sears. The matter is being forwarded on to their "specialized team" and I will hear back in 48 hours.

I understand they probably get a lot of scumbags claiming they didn't receive their package when they did, but don't make me jump thru hoops when it is your fault.

Thank you good sir for forwarding the number on. I just called, half thinking it was going to be a call girl service or something. It just plays a recording saying something about an offer not being available.

I am sure that some of the Sears rant posts come across as "whiny", but it is just frustrating as hell dealing with Sears anymore. They keep enticing us with these good deals every so often, but 25% of the time it is not worth the effort.

And that's how they want it to be. Which is why Sears will ultimately fail. And Amazon will take over the world.

Nice! My 12" and 10" are supposed to come today. Hopefully they are actually in the box.

I feel like a Sears crackhead sometimes. I know Sears is bad, but when you get a nice shinny quality American made tool for dirt cheap it gives me the tool fix I need.

Is the Craftsman 5 pc. Scraper Set still Made by Wilde in the USA or is just the 3-Piece set now? The Craftsman lettering between the 5-Pc and 3-Pc look different.
$29.99

It was $26.99 yesterday

Edit: I just received my 15" adjustable wrench from Sears. Same packaging as usual, only a small square piece of foam along with the wrench and receipt were enclosed, lol
