Not exactly what I'd call a smoking deal, this is the normal price at home depot...

I'm not too crazy about these torque wrenches, but I went ahead and ordered one. Was able to use a $10 off $50 coupon, and then they're giving $15.** in points, so that brings the net cost down to around $25. Tough to pass up at that price.

Asking here because you guys all use points.

In a recent purchase this is what was in my cart when I clicked on the points breakdown link.

I never received the bonus points. In chat this evening, the Sears rep said you get one or the other - if I had not used points then I would have received the bonus points. Because I used point, that nullified the bonus points. Obviously no where on the screen does it say that.

Have you had a similar experience?

Your image isn't showing for me, but that's often how it works. The best policy is to click "Review Order" on the final checkout page just before placing the order. This page should properly reflect points earned taking everything into account. I say should because with Sears.com you never know.

Edit: I see it now. Was the order originally over $50, but when you applied your points it brought it below $50? The bonus points apply toward what you spend out of pocket.

Those bonus points will credit on 2/26. Note they have a short usage period

"Members get $10 points when you spend $50 or more on selected items at SEARS. Points valid 2/26/17 - 3/11/17. INSTORE AND ONLINE"

I can't see what your subtotal was, what you spent out of pocket, or what the bonus offer was. Need all that to give you accurate info.

Though, Super Sport is correct about the Review Order screen. It factors in how you are paying, and recalculates what you will earn.

Points usually take 24 hours AFTER you either pickup the item, or it gets shipped (or delivered)...

HOWEVER... Be cautious on things that give you bonus points, either the item or a coupon. When you USE points for the purchase it can nullify any potential bonus points. Like someone else said, read over how the bonus points are earned, and when you apply points look to see if your point earnings dropped or not.

Also, someone posted saying to use a coupon & bonus points. You can't do both anymore, it's one or the other. Using a coupon will not let you use bonus points during checkout.

For items with bonus point earnings (i.e. 50% back in points), it's best to pay out of pocket for them to earn the full bonus points possible. Then on items (like hot buys) with no extra bonus points, use all your points on them.

I've had one coupon where I had to spend at least $15 AND use some points, to get like $10 back in points. So I found an $18 item, used $3 in points, and got my $10 in points the next day.

This is a great set of bits. A great gift for any new home owner who is going to be putting a lot of flat packed furniture together.

They seem to oscillate in price between $21-28.

I'm showing 50.99 on the 3/8 with 30.00 back in points

i have actually had bad luck with these, they dont hold the setting. BUT I was able to get HD to price match their husky one, and to top it off I found a Made In USA version for the 1/2".

Its tempting at this price I know, but the lack of holding the set point was a deal breaker for me.

Just curious what the use of these two sets of folding nut drivers could be used for?

what are you anticipating to use them on?

they were have been this price before Xmas also at various times.
I use them for small engine repair, like filter housings, removing that plastic cladding and cases, and some motor pump assemblies.

i have one of these, and was just in it 2 hours ago. i dont know what i paid for it, but i doubt it was 50$. if i needed something like it today, i dont think i would think that was worth 50$.

it is a great 35$ tool box.

Not worth it at all when you can by this at HD for 99$

So I have a question, I'm kinda new to this points watching thing. So I I bought this 4" vise and got my points, could I use the points to buy the 6" vise and then return the 4"?

More than likely they will reduce the return value of the 4" vise by the amount of points redeemed on the 6" vise or, you may end up with a significant negative points balance. From my experience they will reduce the return value of the 4" vise.

edit: i thought the 50% back in points was over, just couldn't find the offer (until now). it doesn't change the fact you will go negative with your points. figuring you got 50% of points on the higher price, wanting to use them for the new, then return the first vise, but i swear i read that the price could be reduced on a return to cover a negative balance.

tl;dr : yes you can, but you will have a negative balance. and probably not that great of offers later on.

The 6" vise is showing on sale for $45.99 with $23 back in points. Don't need one, but had to buy at that price.

You have $25 in surprise points (25,000 points) to redeem on your purchase of $30 or more
