I jumped on the Craftsman 8pc XL metric wrenches. They have all the sizes I need, the "missing" sizes are ones I never uses (or can just use regular wrenches if need be).

10% back in points, plus I had a $5 back in points on $25 spent coupon code. Since it is a hot buy, hard to get much to work as far as coupons.

Paid $60, getting back almost $11 in points. For that, I'll take it. These won't be used that much so I don't want to drop all that coin for the complete Gearwrench set.

I probably won't get the SAE, don't use those that much anymore. I get the metric in 2 days. I guess if the metric come and they are awesome, maybe I would then spring for the SAE if they are still on sale.

I ordered one set too. I agree that the current sizes are enough for my use.

Wow, ShopYourWay just gave me $22 in surprise points on Sears Tools today. With no minimum purchase, $22 straight up points.

Also, got $11.30 in points from the Metric XL set I bought last night.

$33 worth of points makes the SAE XL set $27 for me, plus another 5 bucks in points back.

Might have to roll those points over and get the SAE XL set for that price.

That would be about $90 out of pocket for all 16 pieces, Metric and SAE. Comes out to $5.63 per piece.

Damnit, I went ahead and ordered the longer ratcheting wrenches too. They said I had $15 in surprise points which it let me use (and .28 just in my account). $44.71 before tax

Says I also get $6 for my next purchase.

I must be a real money loser for them. I haven't got any no-restrictions surprise points in a while. i guess maybe a few for k-mart clothes, otherwise they are usually $12 on $70, or other non-amazing offers.

i usually end up with more points from their sweeps.

Just got mine. It's made in Taiwan.
Taiwan is part of China though

Republic of China (Taiwan) is not part of People's Republic of China (China). Reality is reality.

The World (including us) have been bullied into saying otherwise. All because we desperately want to deal with China to keep this economy going strong.

If you ask California people, they are not Americans.

Not the same thing.

A better comparison would be North Korea claiming they have sovereignty over South Korea. They don't, and no matter how much they cry about it, they are two separate countries that are very different from each other. Taiwan has its own sovereign government, but China refuses to trade with any country that explicitly recognizes Taiwan as an independent country. If North Korea had the same economic power as China did, no country would recognize South Korea as its own country either. We know though that South and North Korea are two very different places and not at all the same country. Same thing with China and Taiwan.

The zero offset ratcheting-box wrenches are a "hot deal" (if not a steal) at $48 if you can get that points offer.

Made in Taiwan, and importantly the box ends are ~~comparable~~ to snap on XDH in outside diameter.

The whole set is about the cost of a single snappy. :)
