Here's something else you can use your $10 off $50 coupon on:

http://www.sears.com/wera-kraftform-plus-series-100-vde-12-pc/p-00980876000P

They're not a "Hot Buy" so coupons should work.

I'm slowly rebuilding my tool collection (lost most in Hurricane Sandy)... and have been needing insulated screwdrivers... never seen them as low as $57.23(before coupons)h so I pulled the trigger.

I've never used Wera before... but the forum seems to like 'em... so count me in!

Where did you find the 10 off 50 coupon. It seems to me they only offer 5 off 50 now.

I used it, just go to buy something. It will show up as surprise points just before completion of the order. No code. I bought those Wera insulated screwdrivers.

The Craftsman brand ones ****. For just a few bucks more I would highly recommend the Vermont American set you can get on eBay. Since buying those my CMan set hasn't been taken out of the drawer....

Normally I try to follow the rules and post only deals, but felt this comment needed a response.

I have the Craftsman picks, they are wonderful, much much better than bargain brands like Vermont American, in my experience and opinion. I have used them almost daily for years in a work environment with absolutely no issues.

I'm wondering what specifically you don't like about the Craftsman, and why you prefer the VA.

Looks like a decent deal. I bought one, hopefully isn't too big of a turd.

Edit: After looking at the picture more carefully, this is NOT the same as the Eastwood, the Eastwood has knobs for power and wire speed.

(This may be the same as the) Eastwood clone of the Hobart, which can be bought for $199 delivered if you watch the popup ads. Even at the current $279, IMHO it is worth the additional $20 over the Craftsman. I have the Eastwood, very satisfied with it.

TBH, the craftsman ones would work find if you were exclusively using them to pull o-rings... But I also use them to scrap and pick stuff out of hard-to-reach places. I've even used my picks to start pulling apart a few small parts before I could get a screwdriver in place.

What I don't like about the craftsman ones is the steel is very soft and they bend extremely easy. The VA ones are thicker and under the same usage have not even thought about bending.

Maybe I just got a dud set of the CMan, or it's that I'm technically using them beyond their specified application... :dunno:

Don't get me wrong, 95% of my tools are craftsman, I love their stuff. But there are just a few things that are a 'dud' to me that other brands have a better product for a similar price.

$1 Wild Wins game up right now, probably 2-3pm Central...

I've noticed they will also put them up 30-min past the hour.

I did several yesterday (Wed) and didn't win a single one of the hourly games. I was up to almost $11 in points too then today I'm back down to ~$6.50... :( I hate they only last 14 days... I don't really have anything I want to buy at the moment...

I would just buy anything instead of giving up the points... single sockets... wrenches... anything. I have like 20 of these $1 plastic clamps :D

No luck for me as well.

FYI. I got an email yesterday "As thank you for your last tool purchase, we want to award you with 50% back in points". I tried add a few things in my cart, but does not show the points. I chatted the cs online, and was told something is not updated in their system, but will be in 24 hr. Not sure if the cs is telling the truth or not. I been wanting knipex plier wrench which kinda expensive. I do not need it now, so I can wait until it goes on sale, or I can get plenty of points for it.

I didn't know the points were going to expire yesterday otherwise I would have purchased something.

I only have a small hometown store near me so I'm limited on things I can buy that are "in stock" or have "shipped to store"...

But thanks for the heads up! ;)

I've had that offer several times and the points have never shown up automatically. I always have to email customer service. So far they have always credited the points, but once when there was another $10 back on $50 offer going on, they only gave me credit for $15, so I got $25 back total on a purchase just over $50. In other words, it did not stack with other points back offers.

Also if you have the "Win it" app on your phone, they also have the XTRA contests on a tab there too. Sometimes it's more convenient just to look on my phone to see if there are any 1hr contests to go to my computer. ;)

Ahh, different usage. I do use the picks to pull O-rings, etc., and the softness helps keep from scratching. Just different applications and usage.
