A little while ago I ordered the socket sets (SAE and metric) and two framing squares I saw posted here for pickup at store. After over a week I never got notice the items were available.

I went back online and stared a chat window. After a bit of chat they cancelled the online order, honored the prices (which had now been raised again) and shipped everything free, which took a large box because to the framing square.

LOL, one time I had a pick mattock shipped (hey, it was free)... Came in a HUGE box probably 5' x 3' x 2'.... and of course the pointed end poked out the side of the cardboard. Was just placed loosely in with a ton of foam peanuts.

I grabbed two of these. Hope it's good quality. Can't find this Brand anywhere other than Sears.

Are these good cords? Does anyone have them? Any idea if they are copper or CCA etc.?

The price seems very good and I could probably use some of both cords. They aren't in stock around me, but shipping is free on orders of $25+.

Not sure on quality, but I picked up the 100ft version of the 12/3 for $37.50 from my local store. It's always nice to have an extra long cord around, and at that gauge and price I couldn't pass it up.

I ordered two of the 50 ft 12/3 cords. They arrived yesterday. I haven’t used them or anything but they seem pretty decent. I’ll get some pictures and look for info on the jacket and packaging sleeve when i get home.

Thanks.

I went ahead and ordered two of the 50ft cords for delivery and one of the 15 footers for local pickup. I needed at least one more cord anyway and the price seems really hard to beat.

Sear's site is currently showing no availability on the 50 footers, but I was able to go ahead and place an order for cords that I had placed in my cart earlier this morning. Lord only knows how that's going to go.

The Dura Power Cords are UL Listed, so it has to be good to pass their testing standards.

I just got a shipment notification for the two 50 foot cords I ordered. So, maybe I'll get them even though they were, and still are, showing as temporarily unavailable when I placed the order. The 15 footer was ready for pickup 10 minutes after my order, so Sears was on it.

I hope they are good cords.

A common complaint on Amazon reviews is the 1/4 breaks first time you use it. If you pick this up test the 1/4 mine came broken, gears stripped?

Yep, happened to me. Just returned the set I bought from amazon this morning.

Mine came Thursday (actually got them in a day). They're good cords. Can't go wrong for the prince and it's nice to have lots of 12g cords around.

These don't seem to ever go much below $3.99. I always pick up a set of two of 3/8 when they reach this price. They have all three drives at this price.

Perfect timing, thank you! Have some points, ordered 2 sets.

Not sure if all are like this, but the ones I have is a bit stiff so it takes some effort to get the socket installed. But the good thing is the sockets are securely installed. They do not go anywhere, even if you drop the whole rack on the floor. Regardless, these are great buy imo, especially since I got them for free using points.

Snap on carries metal rails and clips. I have both Snap On and Craftsman and Snap On's are smoother and easier to get sockets on/off.

Very reasonably priced, too. Free shipping.

I'm sure they are good, however the Craftsman have the nice grip handles, are currently on sale for $1.99 each in a 2 pack, and they can be free for many people as $3.99 is easy to acquire in under a week in the form of Sears Freecash/SYW points.

I am a huge fan of this tool. It's been mentioned here before, but for $6.92 its a no brainier. I literally have 5 of them bought with points. The news now is the Sears warehouse has them in stock for shipping right now, only a few left. These have been out of stock in stores for months and out of stock online until very recently. I ordered 3 more and a local pickup item so they shipped free.

The 6 piece Wera screwdriver set is back down below $30. With points and free shipping, that can be an attractive deal.

Also, the 5 piece Craftsman Scraper set is down below $30. These don't come on sale often and are generally online only. This can be another great target for points and free shipping.

If you happen to have Sears Outlet nearby, it may worth time to check out what they have. There might be deals to be had. I had some free time last night and browse a bit, found a few things.

Example:

20 piece GearWrench racheting wrench - only available in store at Chula Vista CA for $10. Not sure what refurbished means, but for 50 cents per wrench, that would be worth buying imo.

Chula Vista is actually my local store. I'll check it out and let you guys know. My guess is though that "Refurbished" means in fact "missing all but 2 wrenches" in this case, given the average Chula Vista resident's tenuous at best grasp of the English language. I honestly have no use for these so if they are legit I'd pass them on for the cost of shipping. I was shipped the 20pc craftsman version of these by mistake from sears not long ago, and they told me to just keep them, I felt bad and gave that set away.

Searsoutlet.com doesn't just post deals at Outlet stores they also have 991 clearance items from full line stores as well. I have bought a number of items on here cheap this way. Sometimes they are damaged and missing pieces, and sometimes they are just hiding in the stock room or not marked correctly on the floor. They can still be returned or cancelled, so there isn't any risk buying online.

I've done a few deals with sears outlet. Got the brushless drill for $35 new and a few bolt on accessories. My area rarely gets any deals though. It is ymmv as one store has a Nextec multi tool listed as refurbished - good when in fact it is beat to hell and includes no accessories. They have a couple items for shipping right now including the small c3 bluetooth radio for $19.99 and the c3 led work light also fro $19.99 plus shipping.

Someone posted this 300-Piece Drill Bit Accessory Kit a few days ago. It's still at $22.49.

I picked it up today. It's hard to underestimate the quality of this set. Bad, bad. The drill bits have grinding flash on the points where they were sharpened. Some of the security bits have the recess hole off-center. The box is that cheap, flexy plastic that barely holds it's shape.

Someone at Sears picked this out of a Chinese catalog, ordered a few thousand and had them slap a Craftsman sticker on them before they went on the boat.

I suppose it's good enough for puttering around the house - tighten a loose hinge, run a screw into a loose chair leg. Don't rely on this if you're changing more than a deck board or two.

That set isn't that bad. I bought one and it was nicer than I expected. It's a 300 bit set for 25.00, what were you really expecting? For the price it's well worth the money.

I have a similar sears set, it was free after points, just a zillion bits... I have nicer sets but I like I said it was free...

One day my neighbor needed to borrow a bit but he didn't know what kind it was. I let him borrow that since it was pretty much everything in one box. lol...

There are a variety of odd-ball bits in there that I otherwise don't have access to. If it works for me once then it has paid for itself.

Or as a loaner as you suggest!

Thanks! I was actually looking at that one and the other one they carry which has like 40% propane for $4.
I got that set for IIRC, $10.00 Awhile back.
It is decent for my upstairs set.

The last few times, I've got 12 cans of 10oz butane for $10 or $12 at my local hydroponics establishment when they run a special on it. Then I sell a few cans at a garage sale to pay for the other 8 or 9 cans left. Easy sell when they are priced so high in store, for less oz. Not directly helpful, but maybe you have similar shops that might also sell butane.

It's supposed to be more 5x refined, as the intended use is 'medically' related, and I do think it burns better. But that is only an observation of the lighter having a larger flame than to prior fills.
