For some reason now Sears won't let me choose my Hometown store in the top tabs (Where you choose All / Sears / Store)... I can still choose it for item pickup, but just not view items in stock with it...

*sigh*

Sears has $10 back in surprise points for every $40 spent, after points & coupons. I bought a few things on Monday, that are still on sale, but make more sense to buy now.

I ordered these impacts on Monday, but I just had Sears cancel it, and now am placing it again. After points & Q, I'll be down to $80.** (same as original order), but will also get $20 back in points.

Craftsman 48-piece impact sockets - $99.99

Good heads up. I picked up the impacts and a filler item to get over $100, which got me $15 off instantly and $21 in points to use later. Not a bad set for $64 all in.

Don't mean to derail but it's the same with amazon prime
Sears' prices can usually be matched or beaten if you are paying with cash.

Most of us here are buying stuff from Sears partially or completely with SYW points. Many of us have accumulated thousands of dollars in tools from Sears using SYW points.

Same here with the SYW rewards. Thought I'd throw out another option for others.

so very true. haven't spent much out of pocket, but easily hundreds, actually thousands in tools/stuff from them. With farther drives for in-store pickup, and less Sears to choose from, I say I will be devoting less time to Sears, but they keep giving me offers that are very hard to pass up.

Thanks EOIC, just got another tool bag, had about $3.00 in SYW points.

Ace had them on sale for about $4.00 too, but they sold out right away,
Mine did at least.

Anyone own this? Any good? I mean I know Lisle is a good brand, and I can get this for free...

I have one as well, used it to hold up the top of a light tower while I pulled the backend/radiator out. Quite a bit of weight on it and it held fine.

Sometimes that happens when their internet connection is not working properly. The closet Sears Outlet was offline for awhile than when I was in the area, I
Stopped in to see if they had anything I needed and I asked the manager about it. Its not listed in the system.

Can’t answer about the specific access you had or didn’t have.

Just to add my two cents, my local store always disappears in December and returns after the holidays.

That might be why, I seem to recall last Christmas there were issues selecting my Hometown store then too! Soon enough it will be the only Sears in the area, they are closing the big one at the mall in Jan.

So I got my wrenches today and only received the metric, not the SAE.

Anybody else have this issue?

The Freecash Friday $5 for Sears?

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-12-wrench-organizer-black-organizer-with-handle/p-00965272000P $4.49

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-13-inch-tool-box-with-tray-black-red/p-00952013000P $4.99

These are actually only 8 hooks, but they work on Gladiator tracks:

yes and I have a $6 offer that expires next week so trying to look for stuff that might be useful to me. Sears seems to be trimming their inventory as a lot of small stuff has disappeared or isn't getting re-stocked. Makes it kind of a pain.

Happy for you, sux for me!

They sold out and have no way to fix this it seems.
Wow that blows they can't even replace t.

I would blame it on the one of you that bought a set only to turn it around and list on eBay for a $100+ profit. Listing created right after this post was made so I know the person found out from here.

If you are the one who did this out there reading this, and I know you are, greedily hoping for more deals to profit from, that is NOT what this forum is about. Because of you someone that actually wanted a set for their own personal use cannot exchange their defective order anymore. That set should have gone to them. Not your profiteering self. Stay off this forum if you're just out to scope our deals to make a dime. You aren't welcome here.

They want me to send them back, but I don't want to do that. I'll just end up not getting the SAE wrenches I guess.

First of all thank you to the one who posted this to begin with! Mine came in yesterday and were absolutely beautiful. So beautiful that I decided to order a second set. (One set to actually use working on big equipment and another set to put up and keep pretty as a collector item.) I just ordered it Yesterday but assuming they come in with all pieces I would be willing to work something out with you. Not to make a profit but just what I paid and the shipping it cost me to send them to you

It is kinda sad to see people pull that. I get it, but really? Don't people have jobs or something lol

actually, if that is what they do full time, it would be considered arbitrage. I suppose would be even if it wasn't full time. this guy makes a pretty good living at it

Danny, if you got the full set, would you be mad about the eBay posting? I get the frustration, but think that should be more directed at Sears. I buy 2 of a lot things at great prices. Usually one for me, one to help pay for mine.

Have you tried calling the number on the packing slip/parts list? they may still hack stock of wrenches to send directly from the replacement part stock.

As a hoarder who is constantly looking for deals I also get frustrated with this. My local Craigslist and offerup are continuously spammed with items that are recent on the Sears thread, Amazon whd thread, home Depot, Lowe's deals, or Slickdeals. They actually create multiple duplicate listings so one is always bumped to the top. Unfortunately, the reality is that it is impossible to control this type of information sharing on a cyber community so it truly benefits our "cyber friends". As long as I get my deal, and sometimes an extra for a family member, I just take a deep breath and sometimes rant about it. Endrant.

So, this was a mistake and they no longer have the wrenches in stock to send you? Or they ran out of the SAE and started sending out just the metrics? Mine is due to come in today and now I'm worried what I'll get!

For those that are now worried, check the weight on the tracking page. The weight is 18 lbs. with both sae and metric. You'll have to enter the tracking number into UPS's actual tracking page to get the weight. It won't show going directly from the Sears tracking info page.

Agree.

Lots of people do this to supplement their income, as hobby, or whatever the reason is. I am sure plenty of us go to yard sales bright and early on Saturday morning, bought something cheap (but already own that tools) and end up listing it online for profit. I have done this myself, finding a $300 lens for $10 at yard sale.

No difference here imo. The early bird gets the worm. If one spot a deal early, better jump on it. And for the record, I did not buy any wrench.

A guy with 70 posts telling people to stay off this forum and they are not welcome here. That's funny! There's nothing you or I can do if someone wants to make a buck and sees an opportunity.
