I have several of the craftsman jackets. I’m pleased with them for the price. All were purchased at the end of the season so great price too. I’m an extra tall
And they seem to be Long enough in the sleeves and body length.

I can’t comment how they compare to Carhatt though.

I don't understand how Sears's system works, but I somehow had enough "points" to get the jacket for free. Cool!

After my Fluke meter debacle, I'll warn you all there's not much stock left for this.

Hard Leather Wave® Multi-Tool $44.92 (price in cart)

Free shipping on orders $25 or more. Earn $10 in points when paying $40 or more with something other than points.

I tried several zip codes around the nation, and the shipping option disappears for some states. Maybe it has something to do with knife laws.

Nice find. Looking at 3xCamel for Amazon, the price only dropped to $70 for a brief day or 2 from a 3rd party seller in the last couple years. Though prior to 2013, the price hovered around $60 both Amazon/3rd party.

I just ordered two, in two separate orders. It wouldn't let me do two on one order.

They'll either be christmas gifts or maybe I'll flip one on eBay and keep the other.

Yes, that's the jacket. Tough jacket with hood that kept me warm last year once the stiff zipper loosened up.

I think I got this for ~$30 last winter. It's great for the price.

I put some WD-40 on the zipper; it worked well

Our local Sears is going out of business. I just left the store. It appears they marked up the price and then took 25% off. Not many deals at all.

Standard procedure for these large retailer going out of business sales these days. True deals are hard to come by compared to online sales prices. Often, they bring in third parties who specialize in these types of liquidations.

More accurately, the Sears discounts are removed when the liquidator takes control of the inventory.

So you might be used to seeing Sears sell a $39.99 pry bar set for 50% off ($19.99), but the liquidator starts at $39.99 and marks it 25% off ($29.99).

When non-Sears shoppers flood the liquidation event, they start snatching up stuff for prices that seem high to us.

Apparently it works because the shelves were almost empty.

I had just picked up some 18 ga Brad nails from HD and found some at Sears. Thinking they would be cheap after the 25% off and then an additional 10% off for the day. After all the discounts they were still cheaper at HD. I left empty handed

Same here in Colorado - everything is discounted 20-40% off regular prices, but most if not all the items could have been had cheaper online this summer. Amazing how much traffic has picked up at the store that's closing, though - everybody's out looking for the bargains. I've also noticed that I can't seem to buy anything at my local sears online for pickup anymore.

Question: I've found a set of tools that I could use on sale at Sears online. If I purchase I will earn almost 11K points ($14). Can I redeem them at time of purchase (of this tool set) ... or do I have to wait until the next purchase (which may never happen)?

Thanks ...

Nailed it. All the gearwrench sets that are on sale for 364 days a year for $50 were all gone at $75 during the liquidation.

As soon as they announce their closing, no more online orders. You can still go in and use offers & points, but nothing new is shipped to them.

This is correct. I ordered something to be picked at Kmart a few weeks ago. After I ordered online, and while waiting for them to ship it, they announced that Kmart is closing. My ordered was cancelled, and since I was using one of those Kmart $5 freecash, I lost that $5 too

Same thing if you package is lost. They return your money or points, but do not retrun $5 freecash.

When the store by me went under, I stopped by the night before the liquidations started. The workers were buying anything decent that was on sale.

The end of the liquidation was interesting. They brought in a lot of old stock, like those Vessel-sourced ball drivers from a few years back. They had hundreds of those.

Nice pickup on the ss wrenches. Those are very rare and have more than a little value to them.

Was in my Hometown store today picking up a small item since I had ~$10 in points to use before they expired...

A woman returned a wrench set with some jumbo wrenches and he said the lady claimed she paid $54.99 on the website... I looked it up and sure enough... Seems a pretty good price even for China wrenches to get all those > 1". Slap on some free points to bring the price down even more.

87642 - Craftsman 18 pc. Combination Inch Wrench Set

1/4, 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, 1, 1-1/16, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-5/16 in. combination wrenches

Which store? Greeley is closing and like you said no deals there yet. Also noticed no pick up at Thornton which I have not heard is closing.

Yes, Greeley. But the website does allow pickup in either Ft. Collins or Thornton.
Yeah for ship to store but I just ordered two items with no pickup available and they shipped from Thornton which is very strange. Anyway I'll end with that since it's ot.

Wow, those are neat. My dad has a few of the ratchets...they've gone up a little in value nowadays. Apparently the sockets (annoyingly) had plastic bases/bands molded around them.

Fluke TL220 test lead set is $32.42, but only if you can find it in store near you, since shipping is not available. Next best price I could find was $61.08 @ tool discounter

Yep, several Fluke multimeters and accessories on sale for Half Off (or better).

YMMV. I think Fluke may be another manufacturer that is discontinued from Sears.

Worth taking a look at your local store for Fluke products, everything going out at half price or less. The shelves are being emptied of Fluke products. I picked up a 115 multimeter and jaw clips really cheap, then used free cash, coupons, and surprise point. Even got over $10 back in points when all was said and done.

Cheap, cheap, cheap Fluke items if you stack various codes and deals.

Re: Pricing on rolling tool cabinet

Thinking about purchasing a five drawer rolling cabinet. On sale now at 239.99

What's the likelihood that it will go for a deeper discount after the 25th

That's not a great price yet. Depending upon your storage needs check out the HF 26" 16-drawer top chest+bottom roller that is occasionally $299 on sale. The only critique are the shallow drawers which can help organize hand tools such as wrenches, and ratchets.
