Their response to the same question on Amazon: To process a warranty with us is fairly easy. All we ask is for you to provide your original sales receipt from the website you purchased from and a picture of the item that needs to be replaced. You can email that information over to [email protected]. (Please note: Items purchased as used do not fall under warranty) If for any reason we need the item back for further inspection, we will also provide a prepaid label for you to return the item at no extra cost to you. If you have any other questions, you can also contact us to 888-723-0550.

They also said this to another question: The rockwell hardness on this Capri Tools Master Torx set is between 58-62 and it is made in Taiwan.
Well I could check the Capri tools out but I have to pick them up at the post office I inadvertently put my wrong address my old address I should say I did call Sears and was assured that they would contact the shipper because it had not gone out yet and change everything but you know how that goes now I must pick it up at the post office.

Not trying to start a debate here, but that is expected, no?

The local Lexus dealer has a fully stocked cafetaria including fresh baked cookies, espresso, free wifi so you can work while waiting for your car, play room for the kids, etc. They wash and vacuum the car after the service is completed. The local Toyota dealer while they have pretty nice waiting room and great service, it is not at the same class as Lexus dealer.

SO is not the same class as Capri or Sears, so I am not surprise that the warranty service should be painless for the owner.

Now if cheap(er) tools has the same painless and easy warranty as SO, that is impressive in my book

And all of this discussion about Capri, now I have added their stuffs into my list. Have a great weekend folks

:lol_hitti Good ol' Sears. At least you still live close enough to your previous location to be able to do that.

Flexzilla 50ft Air Hose Cord Reel - $76.46

Lowest I've seen it at. I picked it up @ $84.54 recently, now to hope they credit my credit card the difference in the Price match. yep, transcript requested

edit: lol, I guess already did one price match a few days after buying. But they are doing the additional $3.96 back, though she says it is automated on how it goes back. then said I'm getting $4.20 back on my credit card :D

The Milescraft AccuDrillMate, which I bought a week too long ago at what is usually the lowest price it goes even on F&F days (~$32), is now several dollars lower ($28.76).
https://www.sears.com/milescraft-accudrillmate/p-00932961000P
If any of you bought it more recently than I did, or are interested but haven't bought it yet, get on this. :)
[edit: increased to ~$30 after posting]

The Knipex end nippers I bought at the same time (too long ago for me to match) are now also about a dollar less (~$19 to ~$18).
https://www.sears.com/knipex-9-1-4-in-end-nipper-pliers/p-00929116000P

Here's one thing I can price-match, the 72-tooth bit wrench is now $12.59, only goes on sale from the full price I 'paid' ($13.99) on F&F days.
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-5-piece-72-tooth-magnetic-bit-wrench/p-00946157000P

The little filler ratchet clamp is down from $1.64 to $1.43, wouldn't bother asking just for that but I might as well since I have other items to match too.

[edit: increased to $1.76 after posting]

Bulldog snips just ordered a few days ago down from $16.99 to $15.29:
https://www.sears.com/midwest-tool-power-cutters-bulldog-aviation-snips/p-00910752000P

However, the 3pc breaker bar set also ordered a few days ago did *not* drop any lower than the $19.99 it was already on sale for (remained at the same $19.99). They probably jacked up the price to $19.99+10% in the middle of the night so they could 10%-discount it back to what it had been before this F&F sale started.

Just checked and all my items were the same price or HIGHER! Literally a ratchet I ordered a couple days ago at regular price went up a couple bucks... wtf?

Yea, I think something is going on with the website...I added a few flexzilla hoses that were about 20percent cheaper into my cart this morning figure I'd checkout once I got home to use a coupon. Now those items are back to regular price.

Yeah I saw this (it is in my list). Do not need it right away, but definitely could use it. Unfortunately I broke my sandals recently, so probably going to order this Dockers sandals

I've only used the price protection once, and never on any order in which I used a minimum purchase coupon ($10 off $60), and received bonus points back ($45 for $45 clothing), but judging by this line from their policy "Sears will not offer a price adjustment on items that include individual Shop Your Way bonus or extra point offers." I am assuming I cannot claim anything for the F&F sale. Does that sound correct? Anyone have experience with this situation?

That Milescraft Drillmate is showing $30.56 for me, sold by Sears... I can't believe they already changed the price same day...

Yep same here... they probably has some sort of automatic price adjustment. If there are so many clicks/visit, raise the price by x%. They probably thinking there are a lot of interest here, so maybe they can get a couple more bucks per item. Pretty sure Amazon started this type of price adjustment.

I've never run into issues with the price adjustments even when I used points, coupons, and got back lots of points. Just tell them you would like it back in POINTS and they are usually more than happy to do it...

But wait until Sunday. It may be lower again. I’ve looked at something and returned later in the day to buy and price was raised.

I’ve also had items In my basket and they removed 2-3 days later and I get reminders from SYW or Sears the items is now on “sale” that’s I’ve wanted

They're even jerking around the price on the little clamp. Classic Sears. At least I got my price adjustments on my other two items that haven't fluctuated (yet). The chat rep this time added the points owed for both orders all in one chunk of 'bonus points', and it didn't get diminished by pro-rated freecash like the last time I did this a couple months ago (that rep did it per order, and I didn't notice till later that the amounts I got weren't what she promised). Not sure if their procedure changed overall or if it's just whichever way each rep feels like doing.

I never have problems. I always chat online (never call). Just tell them order #, price paid and price now. I also tell them the difference to make it easier. I have these ready so just need to copy paste once I got them online.

I have twice now done price protections where they did multiple transactions at once. I did separate an adjustment that involved a credit card to make sure it didn't go to points. One of the adjustments they gave me tax back on the points, that I of course didnt pay tax on.

I knew Sears Hardware didn't have the same promos as regular Sears, but I went in yesterday and they said a couple of the days coincidentally overlapped. Think theirs end tomorrow. I picked up a Drill Doctor 750x for $99, that I had been eyeing after it dropped to $109 on clearance.

I never clicked on the Milescraft guide, but one of my next purchases.

I just got jerked around. I placed an order for $92.17 with $1.10 in points and the $15 of $50 free cash coupon. After I placed the order the confirmation screen showed I was charged $109.71. Somehow they removed the points and free cash.

First, double-check that the points and $15 off $50+ (freecash offer that is treated as applying points, or a coupon that applies differently?) are still in your account. Then it should be possible to cancel the order and try again.

I noticed it started on Sears.com at the beginning of 2018, but didn't get much of a response when I mentioned it here.

Instead of wasting their programmers' effort on coming up with new ways to unpredictably irritate customers with surprise price increases, Sears should've been working on their advertising algorithms... I often get ads for Sears on other webpages. Usually everything in the ad is things I already own and the occasional thing I have no interest in. As usual, today I just saw one with pliers I already own, aviation snips I already own, annnnd a pair of shoes with turf cleats (I've never once owned or shopped for any shoes with cleats, never even clicked on them in SYW games that I can recall - and I'm being sure not to click on that link to see the details, don't want to make them think I want to see more of those :p ).

I like seeing an ad on another sure with a good price for another item, then click on it to only see the full price. I thought the and pulled the price from Sears.com as they usually are correct

Yeah, Sears seems to have several places in their databases that keep track of prices, and they don't all update at the same time. Places I've seen their online prices not always match up:
- price displayed on product category listings and individual product page (I *think* at least those have always matched)
- price used to determine sort order by price on product category listings and filter-by-price inclusion/exclusion
- price shown on a product's page for other products suggested as "Customers Who Viewed This Also Liked" and "Customers Also Considered"
- price shown in Sears ads on other sites

The more times a day they fiddle with a price, the more out of sync things get.

I placed another order today for more socket organizers (I overbought yesterday, so I'm rebuying what I used and will return the entire messed up order) the check out screen showed the $15.00 coupon and $1.10 points. I selected free shipping to my home and the order went no issues.

Folding bolt cutters 24" $22 a couple people here like these.

After waiting months to see that price drop again, just yesterday I discovered the new ratcheting version (not carried by Sears yet, $55 on Amazon, I'd use gift cards) and was debating splurging on it, but holding off due to lack of reviews. It may be worth it compared to the ~$40 regular price for the non-ratcheting version, but hard to justify compared to $22, if I can manage to finalize an order before the price jumps back up!

Edit: Got it! Victory.

Hexen, you seem like the unofficial Sears Deal captain across the two threads. So, what are your thoughts on posting coupon codes that I wont be able to use for other members to enjoy instead? As it stands now I try to read peoples posts about what they are planning to buy and pm them a relevant coupon, but I'm still letting a good bit of coupons expire unused and would rather just post them up for the group to use?

I'd even propose the following format:

Offer
Valid Until
Promo Code

...

Unfortunately there's been a lot of controversy in other popular deals threads on this forum regarding posting one-time-use coupon codes, so I think it's better to stick to PMs. :) The lower value-ratio coupons (by which I mean the savings amount is small compared to the spending amount it requires) like $20 off $200 often go unused, FWIW, so don't feel too bad. Lawn & garden coupons like that often get handed out by the Sears website if it notices you browsing expensive outdoor equipment.

No biggie than, most of what I have been letting lapse are 4 off 20 tools, 10 off 40 anything, 7 off 35 anything. I've been shopping in store a bunch due to my stack of $5 off $5 apology up coupons(instore only with crapload of restrictions) and simply getting more of those 3 type of coupons that I could ever use. I found the trick to get the bounceback coupons is to not use my SYW account when redeeming the apology coupons. Apparently they work harder to get non SYW members to come back.

I may just make a google doc and share it with a few of the regular contributors in this thread via PM to avoid any controversy.

Knipex 5" mini pliers for $40 + tax. Shipping was free for me. I had $15 off 20 online orders so it was ~26$ shipped.

Really hard to find the sold-by-Sears listing on the website right now, here's the link:
https://www.sears.com/knipex-5inch-mini-pliers-wrench/p-00901232000P

Of course this comes back in stock when I didn't want to miss my second chance at that rare bolt cutter discount. :p Maybe another time. :)

I also ordered this (needed to use up more points this week than the bolt cutters would cover), one of the sizes of Irwin Groovelock pliers I still needed for the set I've been acquiring (I think there's now just one more to get that Sears carries), it had been out of stock for weeks too and finally reappeared. (I know, they're not as nice as Knipex, but I can get a lot more sizes for the price than the Knipex equivalents, and I think they're fine for occasional DIY use.)
