I bought an air conditioner at a closing store a week before they closed and they still gave me the points on it.

I think that’s the policy that changed. I didn’t buy anything but I have before at a closing store and got points as well. But there were multiple signs saying no points will be earned - seems strange but🤷🏻****♂️

Strange- no new points offer? First time in forever ~ be interesting to see what tomorrow brings.

I think I made my last Sears purchase today. The bench grinder I wanted for ~$35 last week sold out, so I got the Craftsman Utility Sharpener for $30 & a Oregon chain for $40 in points (after $5 in freecash), then $7 in shipping that I am supposedly being refunded.

Had hoped the sandblaster kit was going to come back to its old normal price of around $40-50, but of course never did, plus I saw I can get one pre-coupon for $30 at Harbor Freight. I think this small grinder could be handy.

The only mention of points is $30 points back when you spend $30 on clearance clothing, in store only, and points will be available 4/12. I'd say about half the clothing in my Kmart is clearance. This wouldn't be so bad if online orders were included since there are so few stores left. What I do not know is if this deal applies to Sears.

This new WORKPRO (Great Star) product at Sears looks awfully similar to a Stanley product.

Sears WORKPRO 16.5INCH PARTS ORG. $9.99

just got mine in today and it seems ok. smells of chemicals, but im sure itll clear off soon. originally i thought they had the removable dividers that were held in by the lid, and i was going to take most of them out to hold big stuff, but each red thing is a separate container. i ended up liking it enough to keep them in there and using it like its intended. for $10 its worth it, for free grab a few.

got this one in too and it looks just fine. nothing special but worth the $10 for it, esp since similar other brands are trending around ~$15

That's what I almost walked out with last night after my utility sharpener order was cancelled. Then I manage to find 2 tucked away, after thinking the store was oos. I thought the roller was actually around they price when it came out, as I have one. Decent, but not $100 decent.
Looks like this is at an all-time low. Combine it with the SAVE5OFF50 coupon and get it under $50.

Since Sears is pretty much out of inventory by me, I started checking the Outlet stores. A couple are starting to get in some older stock USA stuff again. Mostly sockets and raised panel wrenches, some hammers. I have a theory lots of this stuff came from the closed Sears Hometown stores in our area. My local Ace Hardware stores sent back all their Sears Craftsman stock (some USA era) and replaced with SBD Craftsman down to the individual sockets so those items may be showing up at the Outlets too.

Nothing spectacular but I was able to grab a few things for 40-50% off I wanted for the collection. My haul consisted of 20mm and 32mm USA RP wrenches, and a couple older red handle USA hammers. Have to really be ready to bargain and hold your ground though. Store marks everything up to full MSRP or even above Sears original MSRP. Nothing rings up on sale in store at all. Have to have the Sears Outlet website up on your phone and demand those prices on an item by item basis at the register, time consuming if you buy several small tools. Best to have all the individual item pages loaded on separate tabs before checkout, at least they price match their website unlike regular Sears. Inventory is way off online compared to store so you have to just go and see what they have.

I normally hate weird chemical smells from new products, but now I hope those chemicals are killing any viruses on the items.

I don’t live in a flood area and no flood bags are available for anything, shipping, pickup or whatever. The music had me hyped.

Lol on the flood bags, I had to watch the video. I really wish we could have watched them try to open the door after the bags swelled up.

So I was actually in the area of a Sears on Sunday afternoon. I got there twenty minutes before closing. All the doors were locked. Luckily, a customer who was leaving opened the door and I was able to get in. I bought a couple of flex sockets to use some points. I got a coupon for $5 in points on a $10 purchase, good for a week. I see the deal in shopyourway.com

Anyone spot any small tool ideas? I’ve got like $11 in points and have everything I can think of.

I also had about $10 worth of points... and picked up a couple of utility knives that were available at a Kmart not too far out of the way:

Craftsman 2-1/4-in Folding Lockback Utility Knife - Black - $4.99

https://www.kmart.com/craftsman-folding-lock-back-ulility-knife-black/p-00938002000P?sellerId=KMART

I also ordered this:

Craftsman 10-in-1 Mini Multi Tool Snips - Red - $3.94

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-cm-10in1-mini-multi/p-00938838000P?sellerId=SEARS

... but they canceled that order.

Not smoking hot... but I like having them handy around the garage.

Not on sale, but I've been using my points to but Flex Sockets one at a time. Here's the 10mm one, which is always helpful to have:

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-10mm-6-pt-3-8-drive-flex-socket/p-A010025932?sellerId=SEARS

All of the ones that I have bought have been Taiwan-made.

I did the same a while back when I was still playing the game. I have the complete metric set :bounce: These flex sockets are very useful in certain situations. In fact I just used mine last weekend. Mine are made in Taiwan as well.

The Lock back knives they have that I know. Folding hex keys are a different model they sell locally.

A lot of the other small cheap stuff is gone or can’t be shipped to stores. The strap wrench, and multi tool have been gone for months, I was gonna use them or the bottle opener as a filler before but they haven’t had any since the blowout sale. Supposedly there is still one of those belt plier holders floating around but unless it’s hidden in the back room I haven’t seen it and I hate to deal with them cancelling it and having to get the points back. The one guy always places the order as picked up, then has to call them to get the points back it probably effects his score positively if he does that but it’s a pain.

Flex sockets I went and bought the whole set when they were doing $100 on $100. I’d still probably duplicate the 10mm before buying more screwdrivers which is one of my fallbacks.

I saw they had squares back in stock for like $7 but I have one and even though I don’t know where I put it but it’s probably in my shed and I’d find it immediately after buying one.

Of course Sears sent out a Corona virus email, took a bit longer than any other retailer. I found this line to be questionable. Are their such area that exist still?

Hope everyone is ok, just wanted to share a laugh.

I was in the Westland Mi store yesterday and a number of employees were wearing disposable gloves (while stocking) and weirdly there was one n95 mask on the shelves (which I did not buy) they did have some max axxess stuff on the clearance shelf which I scooped up.

At my Kmart there are a lot of high traffic areas but it is the only one left in Michigan! I am still receiving COVID19 emails still so Sears isn't the slowest!

Half of the sears the roofs are leaking. who are they trying to fool that they are cleaning them. And they hadn't had a high traffic area since then too.

They still have Max Axxess in the wild? Aside from a few open stock pieces I haven’t seen a thing in ages. I was trying to get the big universal set for a while when I had all those points from 100 on 100 and eventually gave up. One hometown supposedly still has it but it’s pretty far away, wonder if they’ll clear it out. Then again I’ve never used the big non universal set I bought in 2014 when they cleared them out for $40.

As far as cleaning the high traffic areas, they closed the higher traffic Sears and Kmart around here. The closest Kmart might get busy in a crisis but it’s not really near anything either.
