That's how most of my projects go... short, furiously intense bursts of activity interspersed with extended periods of nothing.

I’ve posted about it awhile ago. short story battery died, procrastinate, get battery but now has fuel leak, replace hoses, still leaks, frustrated, moved to back burner.

Moving right along. Walking out to my truck after work I noticed something strange on my bumper. Today’s bumpers are a tad thicker than a 70’s beer can
******* me forgot to removed vise grips used to keep com along hook from sliding left/right on bumper. I was trying pull that corner of bumper out from an oops I had awhile back.

This morning I was back on tonneau sanding duty. After complete blocking and wiping down, I step back and still see shiny spots. Errrrrr!
Going ******* is starting to look good. Wanting to put down a sealer coat, I checked/cleaned two guns and water tested. I was tired and was not feeling the whole paint process so decided to tweak press brake and take a nap.
Shaved off the asymmetric side of angle. Drilled, tapped for set screw and worked up another SO wrench.

aww, better so did last two. Did have some minute cracks. I did need a 5# sledge to true them to 90°
Well hell, let’s tack ...we’ll weld them to the tubing.

ok let’s cut a piece of tube that will hold a vise. Oh and the plate the vise will mount to.

instead of a 2pm nap, I didn’t leave shop until after 5 pm.

Thanks for posting this picture Shorty because I just realized I have a V-block (Thanks Grandpa!) that might work nicely in my shop press to make some parts.

Due to size of 1/4 and 5/16 hardware, I nested small Schaller bins. Didn’t care for this so I drew up a integrated bin.
My 3D printer hasn’t been working well so the print was delayed. A good cleaning of the bed with alcohol and re-leveling help a lot. A little alcohol to clean, a little alcohol for the cleaner.


Much better.

My wife has a 3-D printer and won't let me download the SW onto he laptop so I can run it. (I don't own a computer, and never have). So seeing your bins makes me jealous. Nice job.

Sounds like your hard drive is having issues with her I/O port. You should have her visit Thingaverse so she can see all the cool things she can print for herself.

Our handful of guys that text pretty much have same line thinking, we harass the hell out of each other, tease with pictures of good food when we know the other is eating brown bag lunches, etc. It’s turned into a great group of friends, wouldn’t trade them for anything........... well maybe a real nice vise or something.
