Looks like there is a split in front if the button on the back plane.





That will be a beast of a user!I (re)discovered this Ohio Tool #27 Jointer Plane. I remember it from my childhood but I don't remember anyone ever using





Works for me. I think we have a few other handled scrapers in here, think I posted mine here.Not sure if this is the best category, but I have a hand scraper that uses a blade like a scraper plane
Never used one, but would expect it to behave similar to other scrapers.

Here's a new-to-me (but not to the world) Scraper Shave I bought yesterday.
There is no name and it looks like it might have been user made. The handle is reminiscent of a tavisher but the sole and blade are flat.
The blade has a 45 degree bevel and is mounted not-quite 90 degrees to the sole. The wood looks like some kind of fruit wood - most likely apple.
Has anyone here ever used a scraper shave? I can't wait to try it out.
