Iv been drooling over the only quality tools website at pb swiss tools, they all look wonderfully made, to try them out I do as I always do and bought the smallest tool tye make (other than there bits) I do this because I find if the quality is good on the smallest tool they make there bigger tools will follow suit, and I have to say I'm massively impressed I'm
Selling my hard handled snap ons to be replaced by pb drivers so post them up and help me drain my wallet! My humble contribution

Re: Show is your pb swiss tools!

Ive dropped a order today on a flat and Phillips set (branded as "Garant"), a set of allen keys and a gasket scaper as well another mallet and a few bit sets. I own already a set of long allen keys and a t-handle torx set, a mallet and a set pin punches. All Stuff is top notch.

At work we use a lot of PB tools, especially the bits are mega proper: tight fit, and strong as f... the same for allen keys and screwdriver tips. But we are restrictet making photos.

^ then why comment? And monte how do you like that ratcheting driver? I can't decide either to get a ratchet screwdriver or a set of screwdrivers first:/

Re: Show is your pb swiss tools!

I got these a couple of months ago, love the handles and how they feel in my hand. The tips really grab the screw very well. So far so good, obviously can't speak to how they hold up long term, but hear they go the distance.

:+1: I really want to try one of those ratcheting drivers, but the price is a bit steep to gamble on. It's between that or one of the snap on soft handle, interchangable shanks; which I've used a number of times and liked.

the ratcheting mechanism is a bit stiff. The Wera/Bahco/Facom... drivers are smoother. So i would get one of these, probably the Wera because of the bit storage.

They are still going strong. Truth be told, I only use the Swissgrip handle drivers at jobs in relatively clean environments. For working on vehicles and other grimy stuff I tend to use acetate handle drivers like the PB Multicraft handle or the blue "Gedolat" Gedore screwdrivers.

Some more PB stuff:

Re: Show is your pb swiss tools!

My contribution:

Been using some PB Swiss stuff at work for about 15 years now- it holds up as well as anything. The rainbow hex set on the bottom is about 15 years old- used as an anvil and a hammer and pry bars at times: the tips are still good as new. The identical rainbow set above is for my home shop- it is the ONLY tool where I own two copies. Soft handle screwdrivers are about one year old, tips have held up remarkably well.

I also have a set of pin punches and center punches, some micro-screwdrivers some T-handle hex wrenches (and more 1/4" bits than I can count) that I forgot to include. I have never been disappointed by their tool quality.

Their "cheap-looking" T-handles are something extra special and deserve special mention (picture from pb swiss web site below). Nothing even comes close to how strong these things are, and I have used EVERY brand of hex wrench. Ridiculous expensive, but worth every penny for the work I do- they will undo any rusted out, seized up bolt and still look like new. May hurt your hand when the bolt finally breaks free, but the wrench never gets damaged.

Yep: http://www.shop.pbtools.us/Insider-...with-ten-C6-1-4-Bits-100mm-long-6510R-100.htm

(I still prefer my Snap-on soft handle ratcheting driver, though. The PB swiss version is very, very impressive; the directional lever just works backwards for me. I am always accidentally changing the ratchet direction when working- that never happens to me with the snap on driver. That is just me, though, and the way I hold the driver).
The PB Swiss bit storage on this model beats everything else for convenience- you don't lose bits with this one.

Man, I really like that BitBox but based in the price, they sure are proud of it.
I couldn't even buy it like this, had to put this assortment together myself. I think it was something crazy like 120 - 150 bucks. Don't tell the girlfriend! :D

Re: Show is your pb swiss tools!

I’ve had these straightedge screwdrivers for about 4-5 years… no complaints. The parallel edges fit screw-heads well and are very tough… and the manufacturing quality/attention to detail is very impressive.

On the front row with the Pozi and Philips you have a couple of big bits with the blue O-rings; what are they?

Re: Show is your pb swiss tools!

Their cross handle drivers can exert a lot of torque.

The best offset flat-head screwdriver design on the planet. The blades on opposing ends are 90* from each other. ...and the shallow offset ....and the knurled shaft.

For clean environments go Swissgrip, for automotive and other grimy stuff go Multicraft. If you feel really nostalgic get the Classic handle (I don't like the shape). The textured acetate material on the Multicraft is easier to clean than the tacky Santoprene material on the Swissgrip series. I also think acetate is more resistant to workshop chemicals.

But just to be sure, order a frequently used size like PH2 or slotted 5.5mm from all 3 series and use them to see which one you like best.
