Nice set JMP! Check out my post #1310 in this thread. Found mine at an estate sale with a sales receipt from either 1933 or 1938 under the cardboard in the lid.

snap, same tin and set i believe, i was thinking mid 1930s?

If I am interpreting your "Research here..." comment correctly, you found my set and documentation upthread. If not, just search the thread on 4518RS. If you intend to fill it up, I think you've done well to find the gland sockets and will have much better luck with the regular pieces. I may have an extra rat.Research here it is a Duro-Chrome 4518RS Refrigeration Set, it has the special sockets, missing the regular and square drive sockets as well as the special ratchet.
That will strip and repaint very nicely! And because it's all exterior, you won't be seeing the outside and the inside together, so you won't have to match that brilliant blue-green exactly. I bet there are a number of very close or close enough rattle can options. It's a popular color again.Outside can use a repaint but no holes and rust isn't deep at all.
They still burn people at the stake for heresy in some parts of the world, you know.I think I have enough collections already
Here is my wartime fridge set I posted back in 2020.Here is what I believe to be a wartime refrigeration set. I spotted it on eBay and had to have it. The sockets on the left in the first picture are branded Duro Chrome. The sockets on the right are D-I marked. The catalog picture is a similar prewar set.

No, but I have wondered if the catalog scans are high enough resolution to print a decent decal or magnet to put in my top chest…Has anyone made up any Indestro decals for boxes? that would be cool once the box cleanup is done.
