Made in Taiwan, the same as the full size versions.is it made in japan? do the drawers have ball bearing slides?
I’ve got one. @four.cycle sent it to me last year at Christmas time. It’s in use but don’t have an updated picture of it. Mostly just holds common socket sizes and some Milwaukee markers and stuff. I love blue so he sent the perfect one for me.I don't have a lot of weight in the Kobalt box I have but it doesn't move or doesn't seem to move when I open a drawer.I have one, but I can't seem to decide what to do with it. I don't have room on my desks at home or work (maybe I'll do some rearranging), and no room on my workbenches (again, might need to rearrange). I'm watching this thread to see what others use it for in the hope I'll get some ideas. It looks like a good place for pens and pencils and small rulers. It needs a weight on the bottom to make it easier to pull open without getting pulled toward me.

I started putting my wallet, sunglasses and phone in it. I have it on some drawers in my office. We'll see how that goes. I think the drawers just need breaking in. There are magnets on the back that hold it in that are really not needed for my uses. Maybe taking those off will help.I don't have a lot of weight in the Kobalt box I have but it doesn't move or doesn't seem to move when I open a drawer.
I think once you load it down, it's going to be okay.
Pens, pencils and Sharpies. Buy extra for the box. Now you have spares and don't have to go on a hunt when you need one.
Not exactly Mini, about 18" wide but I think it still qualifies. A $60 Craigslist find I keep first aid and PPE in.
Not if it wasn't made to the actual product specs! That's a smart use case where I might actually buy one of the things...putting together a first aid kit with drawers. Good idea.
As close as I get to all this is a small Trusco with gun cleaning supplies, nothing amazing.
What I'm waiting for is the Lista salesman's sample. (you know, a mini-Rousseau would be a genius marketing move for Tekton, but I expect it would cost too much to be practical).
Exactly. That would actually be a pretty cool thing rather than just throwing a decal on something. Not if it wasn't made to the actual product specs!
LoL, that looks full size against a wall till you notice the thumb tack on the bulletin board.
I thought a second one would be nice to have. The only one I've found is on Ebay for $400. It's $60 or maybe $100 worth of cool...but not $400. I'm not sure if they went to employee's or were sold. That's a smart use case where I might actually buy one of the things...putting together a first aid kit with drawers. Good idea.

I really wanted one of those. Too much $$$ when I was young. Do you happen to have the part # so I can keep my eyes peeled for one on the used market. Snapon doesn’t make nearly as many of those small metal boxes like they used to….I like those old boxes.

It would be a shame to remove such a good handwriting...all I can think of when I see this picture is the thread about how do you remove sharpie permanent marker from a metal toolbox![]()
Go Guardians!!Got this from Lowe’s several months ago. It lives in the laundry room and holds my wallet, keys, random papers, stuff from my pockets at the end of the day etc
Thanks, it has worked out pretty well for organizing the smaller stuff I need easy access to.I like the dividers in your Kobalt box
