exactly..............and 136 was as snide as i could stand. especially after you posted that you don't get mad easily!

As I pointed out, I was snide;because,of his post. When I was younger, and a guy would take a swipe at me, at a bar, I was always amazed, at how I was the bully, when I tromp him into next week. :headscrat Somethings never change, anyway, have a nice day!:)

Wow .....all this time I thought my tools did have personality. :headscrat

The way my ratchets gleam from thier shiney coat. The way my old Snap-on logos look me in the eye. The way my old '70,s 3/8dr deep sockets look at me just before I'm ready to put them on a nut. Oh my

I'll tell you the same thing I tell all the other guys:

It's not the tool's fault; it has no personality. :D

I must've missed this thread the first time around, or don't remember it. That customer of Krusty, who threw the 3/8's extension is obviously imbalanced. I love stories like this though. My tool truck driver has a lot of good ones. Except when he was younger, he'd go as crazy as the type of guys who were throwing extensions.

I buy some Snap On mostly bits and a few specialty sockets. For one item as they only charge $1.50 handling its cheaper than SK with the shipping. Some items SO is the only manufacturer without going for a specialty item.

I have several cornwell socket sets and I'm not to impressed with how easy the sockets fracture. I also have a few other cornwell hardline tools that I really like including one of those double flex ratcheting wrenches which I bought for a specific purpose and all though I like it I have not bought the rest of the set yet. As far as service goes I cant praise the two cornwell dealers I have had enough they were both friendly stand up guys that backed the tools that they sold 100%.

I understand that while their wrenches & ratchets are made in the USA their sockets are not.

You brought this thread back to life after two years. :)

And I think you are mistaken. You may be confused by the new line of imported Cornwell tools talked about in this thread.

Or, you may be thinking of the new 72-tooth ratchet. I believe the guts of that new ratchet are imported, but the handle is made in the USA.

Also, this video of a Cornwell factory shows them making sockets. It's in the second half of the video.

This video also shows Cornwell making sockets. It's at about 8:30.

Actually it was originally 3 years old, and it was revived a year later for a similar pointless comment.

I would really really like to know how and why people dig this old **** up when they have nothing of value to add to an already pointless thread with half of its contributors banned?

Me personally I just like the taste of snap on kool aid better. Matco's is a little too bitter. I have yet to taste Mac's and cornwell's because they never are around to be seen. And c man is like the wal Mart off brand **** that just is gross.

http://www.zieglertools.com/ They sell Cornwell but you have to call with the item number you want. They will give you a price give them a card number and it will be shipped to you. Normally cheaper than the catalog price.

Search engines. People find threads through them, dont check dates, respond, then go back into hibernation for another five years.

Over here in the UK the only tool trucks are either Snapon or Mac so you don't get much of a choice. Some of the dealers are asses but the service/warranty is fine.
I do use a lot of Cornwell and I think there wrenches are better than Snapon.

I agree it's. It not the tool it's the vendor. Now I meet/call my vender directly he know I will basically never buy anything from him because I don't wrench for a living. I told him I inherited a old *** snap on ratchet. He tried to rebuild it and he said **** it the second time and handed me a new ratchet. It's because of his attitude I want to buy from him but it's just so expensive. I do plan to buy some nick nacks from him.
