I saw it same day but had all those pieces. Glad an admirer got the stuff! From the classifieds right here. Can’t believe none of you jumped on it, but glad you left it for me.

Must be made by Stanley. I’ve seen them many times, but my first Bonney branded one.outofbounds, nice razor knife (carpet knife?). I had one like that and it mistakenly got mixed up in a box of tools that I sold a few years ago. Been looking for one ever since, and thats the first one I've seen. Great score.

I’ve got a Stanley just like it that you are welcome to if you want it.outofbounds, nice razor knife (carpet knife?). I had one like that and it mistakenly got mixed up in a box of tools that I sold a few years ago. Been looking for one ever since, and thats the first one I've seen. Great score.

The past week, I took time to apply some attention to the old girl. Got the parts separated with some gentle perserverenceI had a warning on Aug18 that four.cycle was plotting to add to my hoard, and despite my not registering on this thread, and despite the big friendly letters on the box stating that the contents was not Secret Santa, I held off (as directed by the same letters) from opening it until 4am EST today, just before catching a flight. Happy schemes for de-rusting this cute little Bonney Champion vise danced through my head all the way to Puerto Rico! (Better not fret: Santa had already cleared the east coast prior to takeoff.)
Thanks, Brian!

I have a few of them. Almost all of them have the same paint, original? The closest I see is hand water pump red but after laying out in the weather it's not bright.Seeing that other real nice Bonney vise reminded me of this. I haven't stripped the paint but I do not see any markings. I'm almost certain that it is a Bonney no. 250 improved farmer's, or garage vise, depending on the year of the ad.
2-1/2" jaws, opens 3-1/2", weight 10 lbs complete with all swivel base pieces. I believe the knob on it is original. (Water bottle and 2.5" Miller's Falls clamp on vise for scale).
I think you’re right with the identification. I hope you don’t mean to strip it - it looks original to me (but, your vise - your choice). I have two sizes of them (think I posted here some time). I stripped both of the with fine wire wheel (I hope I had cause to do it, but don’t remember). The larger has slight traces of similar red paint. The smaller has traces of green. Neither has identifying logos or model numbers I can recall. (So don’t strip it just to see!)I haven't stripped the paint but I do not see any markings.
