Looking good! The mezzanine storage is awesome... almost makes me wish I had ante'd up for the 8/12 roof (mine is only 4/12).

I did industrial grade epoxy floors in my shop 10 years and 4 complete frame off restorations later and it still looks great.
I used Sherwin Williams two-part primer and two-part epoxy top coat. The stuff great American factories use. I would do it the same way again.

It was 46 last I checked... and that's damned cold in the hill country! Hell, it's gonna get down to 34 tonight!

Ryan, where did you get the lights and drop cord? And how much did they set you back per light, if you don't mind me asking. I have plans to do florescent strip lights in my shop, but now that I've seen yours, I'm reconsidering.

Really nice aesthetics combined with practicality. I think the Galvalume and carriage doors really make the whole exterior something special.

I had to make a living today, so no real time to work in the shop... I did, however, sneak out there for about an hour to start putting the main bench together. I'll do a full post on this stuff later...

I've been too busy and too lazy to finish up the wiring on the shop, so I've spent my time doing stuff that's more quickly rewarding. The sign is now cleaned up, rewired, and hung.
I'm kind of in love with it... But was amazed at how small it looked once up there. I mean, this thing is 6' long and over 2' tall... In my old shop, it looked HUGE.

This sign is from the late 40's and has quite a history to it... If you are a traditional hot rodder, you might recognize it as the sign that hung outside Vern Tardel's shop for decades. He gave it to me last year and I've been so excited to hang it... Originally, it was gonna go out the outside of the building (it's 32' long when all together), but I really want to see this while I'm working.

Now that looks good. We still need to see a HAMB friendly Hot Rod in a photo with that sign. Vern must be a great Guy to have given you that.

You are absolutely right about a quality tool box, night and day difference. Pricey for sure but they will last forever.

The vise by the door looks like something I would bump into.
But you placed it there to look symmetrical, which looks nice, clean and orderly.
The vises look identical size or close to it. I think you should replace one with an 8" jaw. That way if the little guy won't help, go to the big guy. I don't see much purpose of having 2 of the same size vise.
Other than that, the garage looks good.

We had Stanley Vidmar boxes at the shipyard I worked at, just like most military bases. You could roll out a lower drawer and use it as a step to reach the shelves above. The shop I worked in had a row of cabinets about 5 ft tall with shelves above.
