Oh wow. That's pretty lame. Mode 1 is about what the ratchet puts out, and you lose the ability to use the ratchet as a "breaker bar" if it's anything like the IR Hammerhead (which puts out 180 ft-lbs).

I suspect Milwaukee decided that the lower profile head (looks a LOT smaller than the hammerhead) and the ability to change the position of the head relative to the handle outweighed beefing up those parts to make them capable of more torque.

If I thought I needed a right angle impact I think I'd prefer the version with the most access, not necessarily the most power. Milwaukee seems to have tailored this product to that mindset.

I just took advantage of the free tool in store at HD. Got the hacksaw kit with the free multi tool. My next purchace is a drill combo just don't know which one to get. I want a hammer drill as I don't have one now but there are so many different options from r the impact driver. I am trying to take advantage of the free tool and tape measure online with HD but what kits would you guys recommend? I am just a diy guy and home owner.

Also what is a no hub driver?

Again so many options.some come with to impact drills but I don't need two of them and don't want to hassle with trying to sell one of them

no hub driver is specific to plumbing, I think the biggest advantage is their very low preset torque, 60 lb-in & 80 lb-in. They are not for you or me.

You can't beat the $99 deal for drill & driver but...no hammer drill. Honestly I am not sure a 12V hammer drill would have done much for me when I needed a hammer drill though.

Another concern is their free tool deal in store expires after tomorrow, 9/3/14, may be the same on a lot of these deals.

ok, I think i figured it out, you know how I canceled my order of the $99 drill and hackzawl combo? I canceled it because it only came with 1.5amp batteries and I wanted the system 2.0.

Well, I am going to reorder that same kit, but sell the 2 1.5amp batteries and charger on ebay for like $30 and then buy the full 3/8th FUEL impact kit with 2 2.0 batteries and charger for about $200.

Figured it out! / Vent / happy

for $30 you might as well keep them. The batteries are $39 a piece and $69 for the two pack at HD. The charger retails at $49. You never know when you might need an extra charger or batteries. It's not like the 1.5ah batteries are gonna make the tools useless. Look at all the non fuel m12 reviews that are based on those same 1.5ah batteries.

Hmm weird that it's deleted already. I don't know why. The person was selling the m18 1/2" impact (big daddy as I call it) with the tool, single battery, and the case for 215.00. Maybe it sold? I don't know.

I am planning on getting the m12 FUEL 3/8th impact, it comes with two 2.0 high performance bateries. So I will use those two batteries between my 3 tools. The 2.0 battery will help my hackzawl and drill be a little more powerfull so the 1.5 batteries are just not going to be wanted by me.

Yes I hope so franzdom! I just said $30 because thats about the minimum I expect to gain after fees and shipping etc. I am hexcited about my 3 new cordless tools, its a much needed upgrade and the m12's are super compact and lightweight which seems like it will be a luxury.

I use mine all the time. It's especially useful when I have to take the undertray off the cars for maintenance. I usually just start things by hand, zip them snug with the ratchet and then torque to spec if required. Saves a lot if time.

I never even took out my Snap- on MG725. This little ratchet sure would have been handy to have then.

I just received my M12 Drill/Driver, M12 Impact driver, M12 3/8 ratchet bare tool today. I ordered the Drill and Impact separately to take advantage of the free tool or battery deal. It was about 45 dollars more from CPO Milwaukee but both came in hard cases which I like more than the Bags.


The ratchet is awesome!

I've had the M12 ratchet for about six months now. Didn't really reach for it too often at first, but I find myself using it more and more often. My only gripe is the lack of direction indicator on the selector... It shouldn't be too hard to figure out which way is tightening/loosening, but since you don't really swing it like a normal ratchet my brain goes all stupid when I first pick it up and don't know what it's set on.

I have a ton of M12 tools now, but just finally bit the bullet and bought an M18 drill for work (the old Dewalt has a bent shaft which is fine for woodwork, but we're drilling a LOT of metal at work). Came with a hackzall I'll be flipping on eBay, as I don't have any use for the 18v version over the 12v.

Take care of you battery protecting it from very low and very high ambient temperature.

Yeah the m12 ratchet is great for tight spots. I've changed a few starters with it this past week and it's saved a lot of time in places that take forever to torque due to limited moving space. For quick and dirty work it's hard to beat.

I have yet to really used it,still on the first tube. It took a while to get purged.
If it continues to be a problem it's going back, my old Lincoln never lets me down

I am finding the high torque 2763 less useful, it is great to have and removes lug nuts so easy but it's super easy to over torque them when putting them on. The #1 setting is slow and fairly worthless, the #2 setting is the highest. I like the regular M18 impacts, 3 settings, enough torque for our cars, lighter. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

Cliffs Notes: I wouldn't give up the 2763 but I am really glad I have it's M18 little siblings, 2654 & 2655B.
