So the floor pour went well.. temps outside are much warmer.
The guys were power troweling and finished by 4 yesterday... they want to make cuts today.....The floor is very smooth although the pics really don't show it....
George is not placing Roxall into the ceiling(That stuff is spendy!!!).... and doing vapour barrier as well... hopefully done today or tomorrow.
Using Milkhouse heaters to some degree of warmth.

Happy all is going smooth..

(the sheets of plywood are just on the wall for drying and to keep out of the way while other work is being completed.)

Appreciate it we are trying to do a single 20ft dormer on a 64x40 span with storage trusses and wanted to compare, I might end up going with two smaller 10ft or even better two 15ft ones.
@STIBuilder

Here is a pic I hope that you are looking for or were inquiring about...
My Trusses are engineered and were drawn up by my architect...
To be totally honest..I am learning a ton about this as it proceeds.. so forgive me...

But here is a pic I snapped before the ceiling is covered up in Roxall and Vapour Barrier.

I will say that I am not going with the same Garage doors... while the lighting aspect was tremendous .. the R value was Horrible.. and maintenance was a major PIA...... so my new doors higher R value..
Since we live in the North East... Insulation for weather is key for the new shop.

So I wanted to have my main studio/Office on the main floor..... I wanted a Industrial feel with a fair amount of glass.
At first I started to look at old multi paned cottage/storm windows.. really cheap..but I could never find enough of them in the same style...
the same size panes....
So I was lucky and found Industrial factory frames..... 10 Feet x 4 Feet.
Perfect... each pane is 18x14.The came from a factory in the city ....1902.
The funny thing is when I lived in the city(35 years ago) I would pass by this factory going to work..... and marvel how cool it would be to have a NYC style studio in that factory. The Factory itself is about 12 city blocks long.
It's now a giant condo community......

Anyways.I grabbed the frames.....

I had too shorten 2 of the frames due to an access door and a cold air return....By one section of panes(20 inches)
Since All my tools and welding equipment is in cold storage..I whipped down to a pals and he made short order of my needs.

I am picking them up today hopefully.... the weather ***** right now.

I absolutely love your old setup and your rods - an absolute dream garage.
The oil drum lights are awesome.

Really looking forward what you come up with your new shop.

Looks like a fantastic space Jeff.... can't wait to see it all finished out.

Thanks buddy... nothing to show at the moment... wiring is now complete, with a panel in the office space and wiring done in the garage itself... this weekend I shall be busy paying with an oil based primer

The shop is wired in at a rough stage.... work continues.... plywood is being installed on the walls and inner shop office.
I will be painting all in an oil based primer.... The shop is flooded with building material... messy at the moment..... but moving forward.
It's going to get very cold next week.. below zero cold.... so them little milk house heaters will be working overtime.

Kinda buying items I need in advance... picked up some Dricore sub flooring (really like this product) and a nice 20 year industrial warranty laminate for the shop office.Toilets for the shop and upstairs office among other small items.... I hate waiting on material and like having all ready to go.
Just like when I build my cars.
