Tell Shopnut I haven't been slacking! Been multi-tasking lately so here's a potpourri of pics, one of them even garage related:).

We've had a fish pond in the back yard for years. The shrubs and stuff around it were getting kind of large so we ripped everything out. The pump quit so I replaced it with a 3000 gph one (old one was 2000 gph). The upgrade made the waterfall much nicer. Next step is to redo the waterfall. Peel back the liner, do some reshaping, go to the landscape for some more flat rock and black foam and put it back together. It's below our bedroom so it's nice to lay in bed and listen to the waterfall. And the frogs in the spring.

I finished cleaning out the little old shop so now on to sheet rock repair, paint etc.

Also building a new enclosure at the chicken coop so Mrs. TB can get new chickens. Dang Canadian farm girl:lol:.

Here's the heron bait pond as it sits:

I'm supposed to be getting more boards this week (hope, hope) so I did a little framing and insulating to get ready.

And, just for fun, a pic of my brother's Monster 'cuz I think it's the most awesome thing on two wheels. The pic was taken inside the garage condo he just bought south of Seattle. It's 20 X 60, kinda like a tunnel but then he's only into 2 wheelers so it should suit him fine.

Hooray! TB66 is back on the job! Spring is springing, yard (fence) work is happening, so you should have plenty of boards to play with soon.

Can you post a vid of that canyon carver for us? Probably sounds as awesome as it looks.

Lol, yeah back to the 'grind'. It's a fun grind though. I hope the boards come through.........he sent me a text saying there should be a decent job this week.

Nice pond. I can see those chairs would get plenty of use.

Great pond. I have one very similar but without fish.....we have cats! Looks very relaxing.

Thanks guys, it is a relaxing place the veg for a while. Those chairs were on sale at Ace last year. My wife called and they said they had 3 left and she came home with eight:dunno:

We have cats too kippie but they haven't decided to go swimming yet.

any progress on your nova,by the way you have a very cool shop

Thanks supersport! Not a lot of progress on the Nova yet. Got the front and rear glass out and was pleasently surprised to find only surface rust. The whole car is really solid. The floorboards have been replaced but that's about it. As soon as I'm done with my current project I'm gonna get the rear suspension parts so I can get it on some dollies. I really need to be able to move it around in order to insulate my roof. Good excuse to but some parts anyway:D

Thanks fergus, I'll get some coop pics tomorrow and put 'em up here or hijack your thread.

Yeah that scooter really turns me on. I'd get one if I was just a little bit younger and had a spare 15K layin' around.

I'm glad you're only half the slacker I thought you were. (j/k!)

Those Italians really know how to build a **** bike, don't they. A Duc, Aprilia, or Guzzi are on my short list.

Well I guess being a half a slacker is better than being a whole slacker.

My brother has a Guzzi too. An older cafe racer one. I've ridden that one. It was a hoot!!

THE OLD EXHAUST FAN

I finally got the fan and the duct work out of the attic of the little shop. I should have enough parts to put it up in the garage. The round pipe and the elbows are store bought. I made the hood and the square to rounds. Gonna clean it up and paint it shortlly.

These pics are for fergus. He wanted to see the raggedy old chicken coop. This thing was built about 20 years ago mostly out of old pallets. That osb has held up pretty well.

The outside. I'm building a new enclosure out of salvaged fence posts.

I can see how that exhaust fan would be helpful for modelling or other projects.

That coop is basic, but functional. My boss has three chickens and says he just has a fenced area of his yard. Of course he doesn't have anything going after them except an occasional house cat. And our bad weather is usually just rain.

I'm not sure of the cfm of that fan but it's a double squirrel cage and it moves quite a bit of air. The duct is 10" dia.

MY SHIP OF BOARDS CAME IN!!!

The fence man came through good this time. This is about twice what I need to finish. My wife has ideas for some of the extra ones:).

Conserative calculations add up to about 450 sq. ft. of boardage. WooHoo!!

Nice score! It should be just a tad bit warmer pressure washing that bunch. I still have shivers from the other time :)

Have fun!

Awesome. Glad to hear it... Worth the wait!

Thanks, I was beginng to wonder if I would ever get enough to finish.

Glad to see that the weather is just about right for cranking up the pressure cleaner.

Have fun!

I would have pressure washed today except for the monsoon we're currently having:mad:. I don't mind a little rain but today was ridiculous! Maybe tomorrow.

Excellent!

Now get workin' cause we're waiting:D

j/k

Ok Ok, I'm on it!! Got the nails pulled today and cut all the ugliness off of them.

This is what I ended up with:

After cutting out all of this. Still got plenty.

TB, when you pressure wash the boards do you use any cleaner of any type? Just wondering....looking forward to your continued progress.

VISIBLE PROGRESS!!

We've been having some decent weather so I was able to get the boards pressure washed. Ended up with 230 boards of varying length.

I finished up around the last garage door, did the last section of the south wall and the gable end. I put the boards vertically on the gable to give it a little more visual interest.

I still need to paint that last section of osb, do a little trim and then it's on to the north end. I also need to trim out the other truss bottoms, paint the trusses, do a little more trim and then I'm done with this phase:D.

Next up, I think, is to finish the lighting. I've got six eight footers up now and wiring in for nine more.

If you move that Beetle, shine the light from behind the project car, trace an outline on the wall, and cut/paint boards to follow it - you might have a cool car profile to match the Bowtie on the back wall. Not sure how high that exhaust hood is going to be, however, so that could foil it.

Nice progress on that wall. It looks great, TB_66!

GJ is a strange vortex, as I was driving by a truck and trailer stacked full of old fence being hauled away, I though TB could use those he has been looking for more to finish up the shop. I then realized the freight from Texas to the PNW might be more than you are willing to endure. I guess it is the thought that counts.

Glad your fence guy came through or I was going to have to start shipping boards from here.:lol_hitti

I don't know why I never checked out this build before.

Must be the "pedestrian" title. Anyways the place looks awesome and the low cost angle only improves it.

I have an idea if you haven't sorted out the mismatched doors. How about using some glass attached to the face of the door to make your marker board. I have a couple pieces that am going to use in my shop for a white board surface.
