been getting some occasional water intrusion on the inside of theis wall I have not been able to localize. Assum it is bouncing off the patio into some of these cracks

So I filled them with cement crack filler.

we will see if that helps... well if it ever rains again.

finally repair the drywall and bulkhead door that got torn out while repairing the wall behind the porch last year. Have I mentioned I hate drywall?

Installed a few outlets and a spigot for the pool while the wall was open.

replaced the old leaky wooden single pane windows in the woodshop today with modern double panes.

the aluminum tracks for the old ones were held in by a single small staple....

been busy at work and with the holidays...

gotten a few projects doen though

got my grandfathers craftsman 100 tablesaw working again

required some naval jelly, paste wax, and rewiring . Its been sitting for at least 20 years.

added a saftey knee switch too...

though it spins down so slowly it may not help much.

with some inspiration from this thread, and youtube I am working on a hoist to the gambrel 2nd story of my garage..

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233122

before....

in progress.. Waiting on the unistrut wheels to come in... and the rain to stop. (and I ran out of ledgerlocks)

Need adjust the shimming a bit to the unistrut is properly flush, build the lift platform and rail, and make the to rail removable.

And eventually put in a door and pad to roll things out of the back of the garage. (and replace the freakin deck blocks that are currently footings for the landing)

Love the old craftsman.. even better knowing it was your Grandfathers.. I'd be interested to see how your hoist works out. Please keep the pics coming.

yep this stuff works great for the sides of the gambrel. Going to use blown for the ceiling.

Still only got it hauled up and about 1/6 of the wall done... with the brown metal roof it was north of 110 in there.

Got a high CFM fan coming tomorrow which should help.

still working on insulation. the lower 8 feet goes real fast... top 2 feet woven between the trusses to keep the blown in from going over the side... *****...

may end up adding a bit of a kneewall this winter, because of the truss shape bottom foot ends up with only one layer at only r15 vs r 45 for the upper 2/3s or so.

Will finish the last couple bays tomorrow, and then on to adding some bracing and walkboards and lights above the top part before I drywall the ceiling

Picked up a subpanel this evening, but may take it back, not sure its worth the 200 bucks vs just dropping to the lower garage panel.

Looking good Orionrising. Looks like things are coming together for you one piece at a time. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a night. Nice progress.

then blow in top insulation. Then finish end wall. maybe not in that order.

Yes, today was really humid, going to be worse the next couple days. Do you have an air conditioner to put in one of the windows?

Got the blown in in the top done Tuesday. Started Saturday night meant to finish Sunday night... Since during the day it was 130 up top... The my well pump burned out... So that took Monday to rebuild my water system....

Still need to do 2/3 of the floor before heating season.

Spend the day cleaning and painting. One more cost at least. Intentional minimally finished the drywall as.. why water the time when I wouldn't be happy with the results ever anyway.c8371b34a3c6082f4982543c728f6ce4.jpg

Been one of those days huh? It is looking really good, I see you put an A/C in. I may have a bigger one if you need it. I sent you a PM too. Have a good evening with the in-laws.
