Things have certainly changed in the workforce, I can understand why everything takes twice as long as it should, they only work half as much. When doing this type of work you do it to get it done, at this rate it will take the entire week to finish up what should be three days.
As for starting at 5:30, they didn’t get here until after 8:30, so I hope they didn’t turn a 35 minute commute into 3 hours. And it is true, most likely not an age group, but a group mentality. They also spent more time worrying about where to get lunch than anything, they all had coolers too. The biggest gripe I had was that there was always someone doing nothing, that shouldn’t happen, I am paying $300 an hour for them. I just need to buy a mini excavator with a wrist, I could do everything with that by myself. Maybe next year, got to get through this year first.
I have one culvert almost cleaned out, slow going by myself, I would really like to get them both done tonight and be able to get the air compressor out of my trailer.
