I had one of those sets when I was six or seven; I used it to build my Erector creations. Unfortunately only the next-to-smallest screwdriver has survived. I don't recall any Philips in the set I had.

No philips in any of the sets that I've personally seen. I would guess that the philips was added after philips screws became more popular.

Some old ignition wrenches. I used the hammer to make gaskets back in the day.

Been a while since I posted in here; Some of the more recent acquisitions:

That is NOT a jeweler's file set, those are rasps! :wtf:

The smaller 1/8 wrench is nan Armstrong I've posted before; but the other 5/32 (slightly shorter Combo) is a Proto I got in the last week of so.

the C-clamp is al of 5/32's capacity, and the cotter pin pic compared to a normal sized SO pick.

Picked up the last of these from a very old school hardware store in Hillsborough, NC today. It's a GAM hammer that was made in Lancaster, PA. It appears they don't make them any more.

It's not tiny but not big, 7-3/4" long.

My grandma had one when I was a kid, and she never would let me play with it. I was just thinking about that little hammer a coulpe weeks ago! Now I have to go track one down to buy and play with.

For $5-6 just about anywhere, I find the Tiny Turner screwdriver to be a very useful tool.
HJE even sells them.

These are all 4" adjustables and vise grips. I use these for gunsmithing work. I know I only need 1 adjustable, but I use all the vise grips sometimes at once. It just depends.

I have adiction for 4" adjustables as you can see. All are USA made. The vise is something I picked up at a garage sale I think. I use it all the time for holding and working on gun screws. It is very handy! I have a very small Blue Point BP hammer that I use all the time. It has a B 2oz on the head.

Found this in a box I bought last weekend. Gedore, before the only tools from this brand I have found were the worst wrenches I've ever seen from India. This is well made, handles painted with wrinkle paint (original).

Well I had to use one of mine to hold a paper down while taking a pic so I could send the info to the guy the parts were going to. This is a small screwdriver and rachet set up that's saved me a lot of headaches over the years. It's off the Matco truck and it comes with a flat blade and phillips for different screws. It's a big problem solver at times.

Snap-On 1/8" drive set. 4 sockets (missing one--it might still be somewhere in the drawer) and 2 collets to hold jewelers' screwdriver tips.

Latest tiny anvil, in front of my "big" 2-1/2 pounder. both are brass, although the PO claimed it was copper, I'm certain its brass under the Patina.

Some maroon beat the side where the logos is...

Two shots of the logo area enhanced as good as I'm able:

Picked these up a few weeks ago and Finally got around to posting them (Well Technically I had to get them off the coffee table, while we clean up for Xmas guests... :willy_nil ):

The Bull Nose Wire cutters are Crescent, and the Little dykes are Kraueter, and I believe the coating on the grips is that goop that machine shops use to coat tools with to protect the edges. (That's something I wouldn't mind getting my hands on is some of that goop...)

And compared to a set of full sized Channellock wire/cable cutters:
