Slowly moving stuff in and hope to use some ideas from this great forum. The ideas on here are fantastic. Especially what I've seen on BoostAddiction's garage! You gotta love how clean and organized that garage is.

Here are a few pics of my setup for now...

There are 3 bays on the house and another 3 separately (carriage house). The plan is to extend on to the detached garage for another 3 bays later this year. Upstairs is setup as an in-law suite. Soon to be a 'man-cave' though:beer:

You got a granddad pace car and a newly born tribute too...very cool!
I love your setup, a lot of acres that I would hate to mow and maintain.
The garage's are smart, like a blank canvas, I forsee white walls with red pin stripes!
Also like the signs, there a great start to what I forsee is going to be a huge collection!
Nice Thread, thanks for sharing your "Mancave!"

Looks like you have plenty of room to expand. I think I would be happy the way it is. Very nice place, nice garage and best of all, nice choice in cars.

Incredible place you have there with great cars! What a view. I recognize the location as I used to fly into that area all of the time!

Welcome to GJ... life looks good for our northern neighbor. Great set up so far with killer views. Any plans to build a home for those motorcoaches? Keep the updates coming.

Just purchased the home this year. So haven't had a chance to work on the garage yet. With 4 kids, the priority is getting them all set up first.

There are some great ideas on this forum.

Subscribed. Such a great place to start. Can't wait to see what you do with it. And who cares what cabinets you have (or end up with) as long as it makes you happy. Thanks for sharing. Jeff

Ambenz, great idea about the red pinstripes. That would look sharp. Especially with a few red cabinets.

Gibthekid, take it easy on the shots to everyone. You're giving us fellow Canadians a bad name. I don't believe anyone on here posts their projects on here to brag. It's to share with others that have a similar interest and to share designs. There are lots of big and small shops that folks are proud to share and are awe inspiring for us gear heads to look at. I've seen some shops on here that would encompass my garage and I have seen some smaller ones that ingeniously use up every square inch. The fun part is watching some of these transform into cool garages. I agree that mine isn't there yet. With my wife willing, it will be! When it's done it will likely have inspiration from some of the posts on here as well as some suggestions.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, that is what makes these forums great. Your perspective is just different than mine. I don't look at elaborately done garages as a bunch of people 'soaking corks', I am glad they took the time to post some pics on here for us to enjoy and imagine what our shops would look like if we did something similar.

I will try and find some pics of upstairs. Not much to look at right now. It has a kitchen/living room with one bedroom and a bath.

northern33- love the house, garage and the view.

gibthekid- I think I can speak for all of us on garagejournal when I say that your attitude will sooner or later give you a one way ticket to "ban land."

WOW- beautiful home. Is that in Kelowna? Where did you move from? I lived in Kel for a couple years a loong time back - just keeps getting nicer.

Looking forward to the build, but you're right, the kids come first (mostly!)

Good guess e-tek. It's in that area. Ya, you're right the kids come first.

The property was a perfect fit for us. We bought it because we loved the area. The Carriage house was a big consideration as well. My folks are retired and ran into a bit of a health scare. So, they are living in the Carriage house for awhile while they make some changes. They have their privacy and we get to hang out whenever we can. We love it.

northern33 You have a beautiful piece of property, I love the view. The only view I have is the house behind me. I love the garages and the Camaros. I'm working on a 69 SS/RS some day I'll se it sitting pretty in my garage.
Very Nice!

Why is no-one listing their location - is everyone THAT scared of the internet?

I don't think it's important. If someone's that interested, they'll ask. If it's necessary for my post, I'll put it in. You may as well give us flack for having aliases instead of our proper names, and avatars instead of proper pics. Inasmuch as I love my interwebs, I insist on trying to retain some privacy. That's not being scared, just smart.

I'm not on Facebook under my real name, either.

I guess I don't agree with you Slurpee King, I agree with not putting your real name and address out there for all the world to see. If you are on the internet and someone wants to locate you they can track your IP address. That will get them a heck of a lot closer than putting in a generic area like a large city, or an area of a state. Besides, from what I have heard about facebook, if you are on there, you have no internet privacy.

Just my 2cents,
Jim

I see a beautiful spot like that, with beautiful cars, and all that space and the first thing I can think is, " Why ON EARTH don't you have a real race car??" :D

I'm gonna recommend you visit here: http://www.race-cars.com/ , then get a 24' enclosed, and report back right away. ;) Wives love race cars....

One more "+1" or whatever that people should post where they're from though.

Pat yourself on the back either way, well done!
