If anybody is interested, here are my Grandfathers Blackhawk (and Williams) 1/2” Drive tools, from the U.K. I’ve posted some odd pics before, but never the full set.
The Blackhawk is all Whitworth sized, and was acquired to maintain the Bedford trucks the family operated. The Williams tools are all later, and are SAE sized. These were needed when American trucks were acquired during the war.
These, and other similar sized tools, were stored in the home made trays you see, which slid into a large first world war vintage ammunition box. This lived on Grandfathers bench, but was portable if needed.
So, youth of today please note, just because you have decent tools, you don’t need to go into debt buying a huge tool box!
