Been tackling little projects in between summer mini vacations out camping this year.

cleaned up the steel rack, intentions are at the end of the day I will have a few cutoffs and everything else between 48-60” long at the most. Buy the longer stubs when I need to.F388DA01-6EE4-47F9-B64A-BADB6B3FE264.jpeg

Loving the fact I can run extension cords out to the gravel spot and weld out there. Something I never been able to do before.

simple little project to have a dedicated on board spare. Might go overkill and put two on when the money is a little more free.

now planning outdoor lights and an awning for the trailer while waiting for the replacement 500cc motor for my ATV. At the end of the day this trailer will just be a spot to hang out in when crappy weather hits out in the mountains when I get a truck camper.

Another great camping trip exploring and scoping out more campsites……stupid how the previous government created a place where very few go to into a provincial park. I will pay the 15$ a night as long I have a fire pit.

oh well rant over, came home with my new to me, top end refurbished and compression checked, 500cc motor for my Quad.DB8088AE-BE65-46C1-B4AE-A1094DB743B4.jpeg

Quad back together but now I am fighting a no spark issue. Oh well it can go sit outside under a cover as I got other **** to get done before it snows, especially since I have no plans to do any more camping until until the new year.4FC7A0C2-8721-4922-A824-21BFEC1A99A0.jpeg

Sold off this compressor as the motor was gone on it, and since I have stockpiled Way more cordless tools I am gonna downsize to a smaller more versatile 110v for this spot and put the beer fridge on top of it.

Got a lot of down time while on nightshift start up coverage so after a full 12 hours of watching Trailer Park Boys on double time.… I made sure to look in the garage for some home projects to do tonight.

first was cut the top off a 5 gallon VP Race Fuel can to use for beer can empties.F260B6A7-936F-4B4B-BA56-2D677401AF0F.jpeg

it’s been flap disced inside for no hand cuts. I probably will cover the top edge with split fuel line for extra measure.

More down time waiting for pipefitters fixing some failed pipes resulted in finishing off my very EXPENSIVE paperweight for the garage. Our Machinist did the slot work, I did the grinding, file and stone work on this piece of I beam I found at my moms place. rough estimate of 1800$ of work done to do this little project. Ain’t perfect but it will do for my garage.907625E0-24CD-47C7-BFCE-620437502B04.jpeg

What is its intended use? I'm assuming the paperweight comment was tongue in cheek.

it was just an idea to kill night shift off with instead of watch movies. One day I will have a clean bench with nothing but a beer and a place to draw up ideas….hence why eventually a fancy machined paperweight is needed.

No problem, Justin, I love putting gearhead ideas into actual useful things to use.

got back a little on the sniper, now I have a battery bolted down in behind the seats. Yes I will have a 12v cooler onboard!

Now it’s the rest of the wiring to take care of, starting with a new starter solenoid on the firewall.

Scored a 15000lb SuperHitch and Torklift Frame mounted camper tie downs for my Ram 3500. never can not go overkill when in the Towing safely department! Most I will ever see is my bronco on the flatdeck so 8000 lbs roughly.99533BE1-E5FE-4093-8ACB-01475641FFB8.jpeg25BAC971-2C1E-4498-976A-CE116AE77CBE.jpegFE50F61E-A84E-4F36-92B0-BF0C55F0826E.jpeg

Might open the boxes today. Was rewarded for a great job as job steward for my millwright buddies at work. With a great crew like I have, I am proud to be their union representative on site.

myself I never been inclined to pay Milwaukee prices but with this ensemble, I got no problem adding onto the collection with some options Ridgid doesn’t offer.

i the clean shaven one with no hard hat on….

Well in my endeavour to getting the garage as clutterless I can I testfitted a spare 35” tire on my one ton…..A94F087D-472E-4D4C-8CA1-91141665E7A0.jpeg

E218FFB4-F4B6-4456-B609-360930D3404E.jpeg

everywhere I read the tires I have on there are not to be bigger than the 35….yet they are…..16” rim won’t fit so that tire can be punted off. all of my cars and trucks here are 17” rim anyways!

finally replaced my dead 220v compressor with a more versatile 110v model on Cyber Monday at Canadian Tire. 399$ on sale, spent 200 got 40$ in Crappy tire money as well 10x on purchase price Crappy tire money. Jacked my account up from a measly 39$ to 107$ now. Halfway to a damn good Woods cooler! Plans are to make a Styrofoam insulated enclosure for it with my 220v plug rewired to be on the face and beer cooler above it.

Swedgelok fittings now free issue at work. I need to map out the new phase of evolution of my air system as I aint really been missing not having a working air compressor but that’s to change.

I will be taking back what I don’t use as I don’t need any more clutter.

Been tackling reworking my fuel system for a better gravity fed angle with the pump.

ball valves are for cutting Off the fuel for any work needed on this part, bonus are I got a little more foresight to never see this truck disappear from my possession, unless it’s by my choice.25E85718-F2C9-4AAC-9886-2CB2620907D5.jpeg

Well day after I posted up about redoing my fuel lines….

I fired up the 357 Windsor for the first time in 15 years. Even the better half came out and had a drink with me. I was damn near in tears with happiness. Couldn’t run her for long without hooking up the transmission cooler lines first.

now she idles at 1050, a little high but I still got adjustments to make to timing and fuel still. Focusing on the little things now.

lowered the front of the Bronco 1.5 inches. Still quite capable flex wise.

that little air compressor does quite fine on the air over hydraulic engine crane.

just need to straighten out the bronco due to rear steer under that kinda flex And start back on my air lines in the garage. need to clean up the shop some more so when my battery cables come in for the truck I can get her in as well. Rather drive the truck to her brothers place in the city with all its room for presents etc next weekend.

Loose bolts found all tightened up, and been running the sniper’ed 351w a bit more. She runs healthy and smooth.

Back on the air manifold system, have a hatred for air hose everywhere, electrical cords too!18728826-EB78-492D-9AB9-7BACF83E2C5B.jpegB35CD415-21C3-41F2-80C5-5932EE3B8CF9.jpeg

got back on my new redesigned air system to eliminate hoses all over the shop. love how most of the lines will be hidden via window casing lines and beside tool boxes or cabinets.

today Is clamp them up high along the ceiling And cut all drops I have to the length desired.

Now with addition of a more versatile air compressor and the desire for a air manifold system….I needed to make it so I don’t have to listen to that compressor lol

wanted to move the beer fridge somewhere…..I still walk to the old spot by the door…..

still need to trim the front for a door and insulation. 220 plug will be moved out to the face of this enclosure too.EE7F4122-6C66-4448-9370-19510D152B39.jpeg

I wanted to get more space for when my girl gets in and out of the car so I moved the bolt bin to the back corner, engine crane over to other side(soon enough the ram will be removed and crane can be stored outside.

It runs now, but got a lot of little nickel and dime things to do for me to say trail ready.

been fighting my welder for some time now.

new lead/trigger and a drive roller system fabled up with 4 little roller bearings. Time to get the other inner fender done and both in so I can get back on wiring and brakes.91D57932-2BA1-4678-9727-43E8547B1B73.jpegCF7E990B-96DE-466D-84C2-8ABE58454270.jpeg

Might be a little bit of couch time with the NASCAR Vegas race.

need to add in a little more steel to the apron and notch out more for the shock tower on the drivers side fenderskirt so the drivers side can be lowered at the back an inch or so and flattened out…But I am getting places to route stuff properly and mount accessories like an air compressor, etc.

got some rolls from costco now the better half talked some sense into me…. we all so much happier now with our back yard. Still need to dig down for gravel and sand to go in for drainage.

at least I can sit back in my drought resistant back yard and still get my green fiX this year.

finally dug out the old windshield and had new glass put back in then went to town wiring up the light bar. Night runs ain’t our thing much as we usually into the beer by then but they won’t be an issue for me.

all about the little things, eh?
