Great work on the little house! I just came across your thread today for the first time, thanks for taking us all along with this project. This is the first time I've seen a building built around an existing fireplace, it turned out looking great!
Out of curiosity, how DID you finally get the chimney cap up there? Rent a crane, or similar?

Gutted, nice job finishing up the shed, it's been awhile since I checked your progress. Please tell me you did not sell your blue chevy p/u that used to be your avatar photo!

Jay

Thanks Jay.

And no, I didn't get rid of the 57, just finally finished the Camaro so I changed my avatar

Thank you.

Believe it or not I had a friend come over and we pushed it up a ladder and then we walked it over and placed it on, simple. Now you know why I ended up with 3 herniated disc's by the end of this project :wtf:

looks great. I went through the whole thread. My wife has been asking for a workout building, where she can put her treadmill and do her yoga. We proposed one about the size you have built. I'm only somewhat capable of the rough framing, and she would have to hire out the finish work. we added it up and were going to do something, but in the end, she didn't want to spend so much. It still wouldn't have been half as nice as your building.

The framing was easy as long as you have a little understanding of how to make them stay together when your done.

As for the inside, I HATE doing drywall, I **** at it, so I did not finish it as good as it could have been.

If you build one or buy one, just make sure you put power to it, cause she will want an A/C unit, especially in Florida.
