Where are those Alycotools made?
I have the wera ring magnet and it is great! I'm also a big fan of the felo screwdriver m-tec series.
@Monte : I don't know very much about "Sambre et Meuse". Over here, in France, the most common vises are the Dolex ones. I personnaly own a 30 years old Dolex. Still works like a charm. Also the vise pictured on the Sambre et Meuse website looks very similar to mine, maybe it's outsourced by Dolex.
(This goes to Servito as well)
I wish not to speak about it here. It'll be to off topic for this thread Only thing I'll say is that there were several email communications in order to sort out the order. Overall, it was just a hassle.
No kidding! Have you seen the pics Stuey posted over at Toolguyd on the newest Kobalt Multi Drive Wrench ? : http://toolguyd.com/2010/11/how-well...hex-fasteners/
It looks like it's a locking type too, similar looking to the Hi-Five locking flex
Any pics:
Got my Kress battery packs back. After cycling and testing they both show 2.3Ah(sold as 3.0Ah) capacity. Good condition, no cells shorted, just a loss of capacity due to several years of storage. I wonder what _real_ capacity have new battery packs from major manufacturers. Unfortunately I don't have any for testing.
@Lukas : Thank you for the report. I've read somewhere that some Chinese made cordless drills sold as 18V are after checking, less powerfull.

It was on my list about 2 months back until I found out it was Taiwan. It looked like a nice set but could not bring myself to buy it. The Bacho 3/4 set is also a nice looking set but also Taiwanese made.

I'd take stahlwille, Australia gets cheaperish german stuff than the u.s.a i think and stahlwille is great value for money, hazet is too hard to find over here
btw coolabah, love your dp can u send me some scans of that sidchrome catalogue please
The dolex vise is cast forged folded and welded, no one is jealous in our union governed society.
Both jaws on the Sambre et Meuse are cast.
there were 10 Ni-Cd cells instead of 15.![]()

actually very good !!!! Better than many germansAnd even with capital letters and not everything written in small letters

19.- sounds good !!! 27.- notThe local big box store "Bauhaus" sells them for higher prices than list prices.. so you always have to look what the list price is .... (and what a good price is...)
I heard they´re goodI would buy them
they look nice in chrome ...
nice Bosch drill !![]()
nice !!!! Cool pics !!!!! What camera do you have ??

yeah the Wera bit holder with "Ringmagnet" is nice ! Maybe the "Weihnachtsmann" brings me one ! (If the chimney is not clogged)
I am going to replace my well-worn 3/8” and 1/2”drive sockets and am trying to decide between Stahlwille and Hazet. Stahlwille is easier to get in the USA but are a little higher in price. Following this thread it seems more people like Hazet. My only experience with Hazet is the magnetic spark plug sockets I purchased back in the eighties from the Snap on dealer which are solidly built but not overwhelming. Opinions are appreciated. I was looking at getting this set (HAZET 900/14H 6-POINT SOCKET SET ) from Chads but with the long wait time. I have not had any problems with Chads that some report.

btw: "Go through" socket sets... Proxxon offers 2 nice sets in 1/4" and 1/2"
from 5,5 to 14mm and 13 - 27mm

I agree with Monte. Stahlwille and Hazet both make excellent tools and is purely a matter of taste. I am very happy with tools from each either manufacturer. I would avoid chadstoolbox ( nothing but problems when buying Hazet). I would go with samstag or the Motoring Shop.
Do want!![]()
Have seen that set at eBay once. Sold at 120 Euro, didn' got a chance to bid because i had to work. But it's not made in germany?
Spent a fortune the last two weeks to gather this:
Monte:
I like the two tone on the Hazet with seeing both sockets. I have a Browning HI Power done in hard chrome like that. The flats are polished as welll as the front of the trigger.
@servito:
I have a printed Knipex price list with prices, the PDF catalog on the Knipex site doesn´t contain prices. The best is to ask you local dealer if he can give you a catalog or order one for you.... Or contact Knipex http://www.knipex.es/index.php?id=25&L=4&staat=56&change= maybe they can send you one. Or use Amazon.de or Ebay.de for the price check. 20€ for the Knipex VDE pliers sounds ok, but shipping *****
Unfortunately my brother has a even shittier camera than i have so borrowing don´t make sense in my case![]()
Thank you Bhae, I take your wordServito, if you need Knipex prices, ask me.
nice pics.
I'm glad both of you like my pictures@Servito:
You also could contact Bhae and ask about prices
(Sorry Bhae didn´t know that you sell Knipex)
Nice Bosch drill... again![]()

btw: Do you already know the new Bosch PSR 10,8 LI-2 drill now with 2 speeds ? (0 - 350 / 1.100 rpm) (and exchangeable battery)

Hi everybody! I'm Gedore-seller from Russia. My english is bad, but i hope that we can communicate![]()
The demolition hammers certainly look better than the Ozito cheapies i was using at work today.@blue dog
With the end of the USSR, creation of the good tool has been stopped. I know a few Russian manufacturers, but I don't know about how good they are. In all cases quality level of our "brands" is higher than chinese, but it is not comparable with known brands, and also is more expensive at cost than chinese. That's why shops here is filled with "chinermany" production.
Maybe i miss something, but i did'n aware about hi-quality russian hand tools. However later I will make a photos for you.
And here not bad power tolls from Russia named Interskol. *click*
How did you come about finding the Garagejournal?
I searched for discussions of the qualitative tool.

Welcome! Have you found any of these wonderful Russian made tools used in the aerospace industry (circa USSR days)? I read (possibly on this thread) about tools being manufactured out of exotic materials from time to time.
