@Moose:
Since Matador didn´t email back i called them today. So 56 minutes laterunfortunately they told me that they don´t have a distributor in the UK for a while now.... their USA distributor is also gone... So the only way would be to email dealers or ask stores to offer Matador tools so maybe through this way they can find a new distributor or buy it here in germany...
There are a couple of online shops in .de so if you could tell me what you are looking for maybe i can help you.
ebay.de: http://stores.ebay.de/Werkzeuge-und...0QQ_sidZ1007934654?_nkw=matador&submit=Finden
regular store of the ebay shop: http://www.handwerksausruester.prag...0000009a65106534d/0000009b6710b004a/index.php

I'm thinking of getting a set of stahlwille 13 combis in metric to complement my AF 14s. I've been measuring my current import metric set, and the 13s are quite a bit shorter, even though my imports aren't 'long'. Could anyone with 13s, or maybe both, comment on their length. I dong want to buy a set of 13s and then feel handicapped by their length, but they buying 14s individually will cost a lot more!
I wish this stuff was more avaliable in the UK!
Check out Stahlwille's website?
Combi #13 sizes
Sometimes the length can be a curse, too, and not to mention, the greater chances of over-torquing the fasteners with the extra leverage of the extra-long versions.
@Sharkin,
Nice photo of the SROV-made pliers.
That 3-sided scraper has proved handy for me on a couple occassions, enlargening/deburring holes in plastics.
What's the third one used for?
On the same subject got these for free some time ago, they are sold by Suki International and not that different from the ones you posted.
Edit: Found some Orbis exactly like the ones above, I guess they're Orbis![]()
130 Euros
@Moose:
ah ok ! Is the short one too short or just to have the other one too ?Already have it ? I could try to order it through the local dealer here but shipping to you will be 5.45€ (if below 500 grams + incl. insurance)
@Moose:
I will check if i can get Esgen somewhere here or if they would deal directly with me
Why do mechanics need insulated tools?

Besides, it is a good reason to start collecting tools Wiha "MagicRing" or Bondhus would be another option. (has anybody experience with them ?? How long does the plastic holder from Bondhus last ?)

I have the Wiha Magic ring in both sets in metric and SAE. The ring is awesome. It does hold the the fastner on there really well. Best hex keys I've bought. I got both sets for $20 from sears on clearance. Can't beat that!
Turning the faster at an angle works well too. No slop and you can feel it's a quality tool.
I must hand it the Germans between Knipex, Wiha, Wera and those BMWs they make some quality stuff. Forgot to mention franziskaner hefeweizen too.
Monte, I'm in the market for some sets of various combination, needle nose, snap-ring, linesman pliers etc. Any opinions on brands to look for. I'm really liking the NWS pliers but may go Knipex since the cobra pliers I bought are just so impressive.
I just picked these up from lowes the other day, unfortunately they were not kept behind a glass case.
Im an apprentice electrician, i never work live if i have a means to cut power and i hope all of you dont even contemplate working live, even with insulated tools.
Fingerprints lol no I was referencing the other thread with knipex behind glass
How much does the NWS Peacemaker cost?
tks
Well, this is my latest order from TBS-aachen. My wallet hates Monte, but that's ok, cause i don't!![]()
This time i mostly ordered some stuff i "need". Quality hammers and punches.
Now my wallet should just hope i don't find a store with Knipex and Wera at german prices!
a pic i found of the new german made Gedore "wrenchratchet"

What is the price for those in Germany?
I thought the Taiwanese owned the patents for the ratcheting mechanism. Are these Gedore wrenchratchet German made all the way?
