This thread is now about tools made in Belgium.

Are there any?![]()
I don't know about garage/workshop tools (other than the long since shut Elektra Beckum plant), but they make a lot of tools for the diamond industry in Belgium.

Browning firearms used to be Belgian made. Not sure if any now are or not - most manufacturing moved to Japan.

Its not uncommon for US companies to have production there. Texas Insturments used to make calculators there.
For mining or jewelry making? Links and pics are cool(I like all tools.)
This is my drill. It was made by Loewe in Berlin/ Germany and will probably last another hundred years. I am just about to get the old paint of to get it repainted.

The japanese flash light has a bulb, it still works, i think its from the 70´s or 80´s , my father brought it from japan (together with 2 Casio calculators which still work too) when he was working on a ship.
btw. tools from Holland: There was once a company called "Nooitgedagt" which made chisels and measuring tools which was sold in 1997 to "Record" ( now "Irwin"/Newell Rubbermaid). So there were Irwin tools made in Holland until 2004 when the factory was closed by Newell Rubbermaid. The new squares i saw are made in England.

maybe i should visit her

My Vessel Megadoras showed up today. While I haven't used them to extract a very stuck cross-shape JIS screw, I'm quite confident that they are JIS-compatible. I pulled a screw out of the dash of my car (Subaru). The Megadora "locked in" with that solid feeling fit that you get when you use a JIS driver in a JIS screw and the screw would "hang on" to the tip without falling off if you held the driver horizontal, which is another hallmark of the JIS-JIS combination.
Oh almost forgot...
"Wurth" grinder from one of the garage buddies

something from the flea market:
"Flex" brand 7" polisher made by Ackermann & Schmitt.

if they were mint condition you might get 100 , those tools look pretty well used to me , how they should be!
Actually the seller wants $100. Is it reasonable for both of us for me to offer him say $70 or $50. Frankly speaking I'm at a loss how to price these.
Thanks
Hello JayL, I don't know how things are in the Phillipines, but a well used facom double spoon can sell for 100€ in France.
What is one month of minimum wage worth in your country ?
A wood folding rule or?
Thanks for the reply.
Do you reckon the Peddinghaus body work tools are top quality. I was just checking Martin brand and these looks very good too. Prices as well.
