Did you get your set from an ebay UK vendor? I also sort of thought they would be Germany made.
Yes I did. Their listing said Germany. :/ I have a Gedore catalog on my shelf and I could have taken a minute to verify. Lesson learned.

Not all Gedore sold in South Africa is made in South Africa (even if the tag has the local website on it).
Needed a new Dremel, so the Price was too good to pass.

hmm! I wonder if this fits on my Metabo.
The Gladiator Mini doesn´t have a bracket, but the housing has different angles so you get different lighting angles if you lay the light on the side for example.

The Kress chucks/adaptors are driven by small balls which engage on the outside of the spindle of the power tool while Metabo chucks are driven by a hex inside of the chuck which engages directly into the spindle. So it won´t work.![]()

coo was almost clearUnfortunately neither 12V nor made in the old world.
yesSo I'm guessing the Osram you have is only a rebranded version of the 24w Sonlux Gladiator Mini.
i never reall looked into that Kelvin thingI would be tempted to choose the LED version over the fluorescent tube but the Sonlux specs give a 5000K for the LED version over a 4000K color for the fluo version tube.
I don't really want to go for a too cold light.
Look here on this video.
Is for Kress quick change sistem.
I bet you're right, especially because these C30 sockets have no COO stamping. I only assumed SA origins because of website.
2oolhound posted pics of his South African sockets (with SA stampings) and they appear to be high quality, and I trust his review stating so. I wonder where these C30 are made then, if not in SA.
Here are a few pics, first pic is pair of German sockets on the left; you'll notice how defined the stampings are and uniform finish. Unknown COO sockets on the right; knurling is not uniform, stampings seem really weak on the smaller socket, finish not uniform.
No COO. The one on the right you can see the weak stamping and finish not uniform. Also, socket in the center has knurling that is on par with German made sockets, the others have varying degrees of knurling. Not all, but there are a couple sockets like that in this set.
They look like Facom pliersAny ideas on the quality of USAG pliers? Are they made in Italy?
Unfortunately neither 12V nor made in the old world.

I always wonder how the american brands came to the conclusion to name their tools 12V, its not possible to make 12V lithium tools. you can have 3.6V (3.7V), 7.2, 10.8, 14.4 or 18V also 36V but they will be never ever a true 12V tool. All 12V Dewalt tools are sold as 10.8V tools in Europe as well as Makita, Bosch ...
Btw. badass wrenches, what type of a machine you work on there?

Are those hole saws for hand tool use? Looks like they have WIDIA tips. What material do you cut with those?
Needed a new Dremel, so the Price was too good to pass.
yes you can use these with hand held tools. It is important to hold the drill firm and straight so the hole saw don´t start to vibrate and rattle because the carbide teeth don´t like that. I would recommend these hole saws for stationary use and if you need an hole with exact dimensions. Regular Bi-Metal hole saws have only an accuracy of 0 to +1.5mm.Are those hole saws for hand tool use? Looks like they have WIDIA tips. What material do you cut with those?
ThanksFantastic work, Monte! Your fabrication skills always amaze me, i remember you making a battery charger holder from sheet metal and it was perfect!

It´s difficult to choose just one 1/4" setI have had that Wera 1/4" metal ratchet set in my Amazon basket for months and still haven't pulled the trigger on it.
I already have a set from Beta, but I love 1/4" ratchet sets.
